JP and Fran happen to be one of my favorite couples in the whole wide world! I’ve seen them meet each other for the first time, and I’ve been one of those who teased and teased them ( separately! ) and I have seen their relationship blossom from friendship to something that’s worth a lifetime of commitment. As these two lovebirds are tying the knot soon, I wish them all the best!
Franny came to me during my lunchbreak to have her makeup done for the pre-nuptial photoshoot. She wanted it light, and natural looking, so I used something new in my makeup kit , makeup from the Revlon Photoready line.
High Definition makeup uses advanced technology photo-chromatic pigments to give the complexion a flawless, natural finish under the magnification of any light! Revlon PhotoReady taps into the emerging hi-def (HD) technology Beauty Trends for flawless skin under any light at an affordable price! The collection is designed to provide flawless results even under unflattering conditions such as harsh lighting environments & High Definition scrutiny!

Coming up with an HD makeup line by Revlon was a bold mood as I have seen professional and luxury brands have theirs first. This is a first for the consumer market, as this proves interesting. Photochromatic pigments are present in Revlon Photoready products to reflect light and give that perfectly flawless finish, but with natural and undetectable coverage.
So, what’s my say about it?
Working with Fran’s skin was really easy. She has such beautiful skin as she doesn’t really use makeup. Her skin is poreless, so I have such beautiful base to begin with. I applied primer on her to ensure that her makeup stays the entire duration of the shoot, and then I applied the Photoready Makeup ( Liquid Foundation ) on her face, alongside some concealer to even out her skin tone. The consistency of the Photoready Liquid Foundation was not so thick, and not thin at all, and it dried quickly so a quick hand is needed to blend the liquid foundation to spread on the entire face. It had subtle shimmer , alright, as it proves the microshimmer to effectively reflect light and make the skin look poreless and flawless! I set her makeup with the Photoready Powder, and the effect was matte, and natural.
You can check it in the photo above. I am totally happy with the coverage – nothing too heavy, nothing too bare. Just about right, and yes, it was flawless.
Talking about it realistically, Photoready Makeup, specifically the liquid foundation is better for those who have good skin to begin with. If you have sunk pores, or pitted scars, then I would advise getting another foundation without shimmer, as it can magnify your flaws even more. Or perhaps, if you want to try this, get a really good silicone based primer that would make your base really even, texture wise. As for the Photoready Powder, it is an overall great finishing powder, with color or without color, as it polishes the already made up look.
I’m just impressed that before, it was all the rage with the HD makeup line of Make Up For Ever, and now, even Revlon has it already! Soon enough, I shall see more brands have this kind of makeup line. Of course, makeup is progressive as it goes side by side with technology, and as our cameras are starting to dare to get closer and closer to us, we also need to get prepared!
Best wishes to Fran, and congratulations to JP! I love you both!

Hi! I recently bought that foundation in Shell. I really like it and compared to other foundations, it’s relatively cheaper. I actually like that it has shimmer. You won’t really see it unless you look for it.
Btw, what primer do you use? i only use an eye color primer but for the face, i just put on moisturizer.
Thanks and more power to your blog!
