What’s with Shu Uemura Essence Absolue, that last year, it was sold out on all salons, worldwide?
Well, for one, it’s been used by the hair stylist of Jennifer Aniston, the Hollywood star that we would have a mean case of tress envy, with pictures of her and her beautiful hair printed out more than often, to show our hair stylists how we want our hair to be. Well, I really, really gotta try this!
For one, Shu Uemura has been very popular with oil. Yes, bottles of Shu Uemura Cleansing Oils being sold by the minute, as the ever reliable makeup remover, and for some, facial cleanser! Shu Uemura now has another kind of oil. This time, it’s for the hair.
Shu Uemura Essence Absolue contains Camellia Oil from the Camellia Japonica tree, which is also called liquid gold on the hair. It has the absolutely clean and feminine scent of camellia petal, which adds up more to its charm. Essence Absolue is supposed to bring back damaged, and dry hair back to life, giving it the health, and lustre it deserves.
I was able to grab hold one bottle of this, and believe me, my hair has been more damaged and dry than before, with my scalp medication lately. I am just lemming for my upcoming rebonding session as my hair is left wavy, and dry right now. I’ve been tying my hair up in a ponytail lately, and it does not feel good.
One Saturday afternoon, before going to the movies, I decided to doll up a bit. I dried my hair with the electric fan ( I’m not a fan of hair dryers! ) , and I pumped some Shu Uemura Essence Absolue on my palm, and started applying them at the ends of my hair, going up, but definitely avoiding my scalp area. I whipped my ever reliable hair iron, and started working on my hair. As my hair was being straightened, I could see that it did not look all dried up – it looked as if it went back to its normal state before, and it had lustre! I was so amazed at how healthy my hair looked at that time. It was almost impossible, but it did happen one night! It’s because if your hair is dry, you’re not supposed to abuse it more with hair iron, but Shu Uemura Essence Absolue made it possible for me to have beautiful hair for a night! It was just magical. No frizzies, no poofiness, just beautiful hair for a night.
Shu Uemura Essence Absolue is a protective, and restorative hair oil that does not leave the hair feeling heavy ( just because it’s oil ). It feels light, and you’d forget you applied that – you would only remember when you face the mirror seeing your beautiful hair! It gives back good health to your hair, but it’s not a styling product. You can use this alongside your hair styling product to boost your hair styling product’s performance – but Essence Absolue will just recondition your hair just like that! Just remember, that don’t make your hair limp by applying this near the roots. Avoid!
Is it worth the price tag? Hell yes. This is a great serum that I’d love to love my hair with. I will definitely repurchase, and hunt this down once this bottle is half consumed!
