I’ve been thinking this entire month of May, on how thankful I am with the online stores we have today for we don’t need to get out of our homes ( or offices, for that matter ), to shop for our stuff, beauty stuff, that is. Just looking at the outside and knowing how hot it is outside, well, it’s such a battle to go anywhere these days! I am slowly becoming dependent with online shopping for it’s just the most convenient thing!
Thanks to Phoebe, the beauty blogger sister who is just so wild about organic beauty products, that she decided to open The Island Berry, not only to feed her passion of organic products, but also share them to all of us! Really, I know how she feels! She must be thinking that it would be quite heaven to wake up to such fragrant organic soaps, and it would make her day already!
Okay, so I was able to roadtest some of the By Nature Handmade Soaps that she was just crazily raving about. Let me tell you how I like them!
Strawberry Milkshake was one of my picks because I’m such a sucker for fragrant, strawberry scents. This smelled of strawberry ice cream – with milk! This promises to be moisturizing to the skin with the goat’s milk, and tomato extract was included for an anti-aging add-on.
Utter Bliss is Phoebe’s favorite amongst the bunch, and I now know why because the aromatic fragrance was just so invigorating, as it encourages you to wake up in the morning and lure you into the shower! Morning herbs, if I may say. Haha! These morning essential oils include thyme, patchouli, cedarwood, and rosemary.
If Phoebe has her favorite, then I have mine. It’s the Total Attraction soap. I shall reveal my weakness now – it’s lavender. I love ANYTHING lavender, and this is the most fragrant organic soap that I’ve ever tried! I love the relaxing smell of lavender, and I love using this soap day and night, as it calms down my nerves!
Overall, the soaps are pretty good. Firm and seemingly not easy to melt off, these babies lather on the skin pretty well, and their fragrance linger after taking a shower – those newly showered moments just make you feel so mmmmm! and happy. But really, I would always try to soap myself some more even if I’m about to get out of the shower – they’re pretty addicting. They don’t make the skin feel tight after, their moisture levels are okay. Not the uber moisturizing soaps, but I don’t think there are soaps that promise uber moisture. Those are for lotions to do!
Bottomline? I’m going to repurchase Total Attraction. I’m totally sold!
