Haven’t you noticed how time flies so fast lately? How days pass on just like a blink of an eye? One minute, you are rejoicing the weekend, and before you know it, you are dreading Monday again?

Haha! Forgive me for rubbing it in. I’m turning a year older in a few weeks’ time, thus, the blues. With my birthday drawing near, I always plan ahead on something vain – my annual hair rebonding ( oh, waves be gone! ) , reuniting with my dermatologist from my long absence due to toxic work, and of course, if I can’t stall my age from adding one more, I know I can stall my age from showing – specially in my eyes!

The eyes are just the first to age, and the area in my face that I am most concerned with ( amongst alot of things ). For ages, I’ve been on the lookout for that perfect eye cream – something that would REALLY work. But the thing is, eye creams are tricky – you need to commit to them long-term until you see results. It’s a big risk, really.

With that, I am trying something new from L’Oreal, called the L’Oreal Revitalift Double Eye Lift.

The L’Oreal Revitalift Double Eye Lift targets not only one area in our eyes, but two areas – the lid, and the undereye. The L’Oreal Revitalift Double Eye Lift has two pumps – one red, and one white, that you can pump and get product separately as you can apply as you see fit.

The undereye cream, the white cream, is enriched with Caffeine and Pro-Retinol A to reduce wrinkles and diminish appearance of dark circles immediately. Sounds like a good eye cream, seeking to target wrinkles, smoothen those fine lines ( how I loathe them! ) and maybe minor-ly fix those dark undereye circles. Caffeine is an instant, proven de-puffer.

The red gel product, on the other hand, targets the lid area, containing potent concentrations of Latexyl, a powerful mineral tensing active to instantly re-tighten the skin above the eyes and to visibly lift the eyelids. This is a really good extra step to do because from my memory, when I did makeup for mature women, I see their lids sagging, unable to show eye makeup as when you stretch them and try to apply eye makeup, once you let go of your fingers from that “stretch”, all the eye makeup hides underneath – a sign of saggy eyelids. Oh no. I’m convincing myself that it’s never too late to prevent that, or stall, even!

The Promise

In minutes, wrinkles around eye area are visibly reduced, upper eyelids are lifted. Your look is visibly illuminated. After 4 weeks, upper eyelids are retightened, your eyes appear younger.

The Beautynomist Says :

I see this as a potentially good product for it targets two problems that we will be encountering now, and in the future – now, being undereye circles, those pesky fine lines ( or even crow’s feet ) that are slowly ruining our days as we see them in front of the mirror macro-mode, and future worries such as saggy eyelids, and aggravated lines.

I’m quite giving up on the undereye circles part as I’ve never seen anything work 100% effective with undereye circles, and that can be addressed by combining eye creams with hydration ( drinking lotsa water ), and getting lotsa sleep. Illuminating creams can work temporarily and reflect light on the darkness, so let’s remove that from the equation.

Upon using these two products, using my ring finger to lightly smoothen these products first on the undereyes using upward, outward strokes, and next, my eyelids using upward, outward strokes, I feel them absorb on my eye area rather quickly, and the finish is matte. It’s true that within minutes, I felt a tightening effect, which is a good thing. I am going to continue using this everyday, and every night to see if the results will be long lasting. Either way, it’s an effort on my part because I really want my eyes not to look stressed, and old, as our eyes really show on how we fare – and we’d like to camouflage that, and even treat that, as much as possible.

For this product, I am initially impressed, and I am hoping for long lasting results! How about you, have you tried L’Oreal Revitalift Double Eye Lift?
