As my adventures with wheatgrass continues, I choose to chronicle this in my beauty blog instead of my other blog, as I see health as an integral part of being beautiful. You definitely need to be healthy, and eat right to get that glowing skin, and your internal organs need to be in good shape to get that healthy valor!
Well, strolling around Landmark and Glorietta last Sunday, getting myself more natural-looking false eyelashes and getting myself a gorgeous pair of sandals for summer, I made my little sister to accompany me to Bizu in Glorietta for some wheatgrass shots. But when we arrived there, I was told that they didn’t offer wheatgrass shots there. All dismayed and disappointed, we were about to march back to Landmark, when I saw Zing, a juice bar, offering Wheatgrass Wonder, a seemingly healthy drink. Well, it wouldn’t hurt to try!
BUT THEN. I saw wheatgrass shots being offered for 85 php a shot. So what I did was ask for one shot for me, and the smaller size of Wheatgrass Wonder for my younger sister to try.
When I saw the friendly girl from Zing make my wheatgrass shot, I saw that the wheatgrass wasn’t from a fresh tray – rather, it was just on a plate, all cut already. My wheatgrass shot was served in a plastic cup, and as I drank up, I tasted grass, again. Haha! It wasn’t as frothy and as sweet as the one from Bizu, it was more watery and less sweet. It was okay. I felt dizzy after a few minutes as wheatgrass is just very potent.
The Wheatgrass Wonder drink, on the other hand, is really wonderful. It’s a citrusy beverage composed of pineapple, orange, mint, and wheatgrass. I was like drinking ( okay, I managed to sip some from my sister’s cup! ) fresh pineapple juice with fresh bits. Very, very nice. The girl from Zing told me that the tall size has one shot of wheatgrass while the grande cup had 2 shots of it.
As I continue drinking wheatgrass, I seem to be more and more addicted to it. I also noticed that I do not have quite an appetite during lunch, and still manage to sleep very well everyday. I guess I’m very much better off with wheatgrass, even if I haven’t experienced the great effects that it promises online. I hope that I would wake up one day, with a miracle from wheatgrass.

I want to try, but Zing in ATC is always closed, and Big Chill’s is always out of stock. Yay! I hope I won’t get dizzy, because as you said, we need to drink it with empty stomach. Thanks for the updates, Sophie!
