When I went gaga over MAC Give Me Liberty of London‘s lipsticks, right after roadtesting the very bold Petals and Peacocks, I could not resist, and asked my friend Smile, who resided in Hong Kong to get me two more lipsticks from that certain collection, mainly because I loved the cremesheen and amplified cream formulas. She was able to get me two more – MAC Lipstick in Peachstock, and in Blooming Lovely. I was about to ask her to get me the shade in Ever Hip, but it was too late already. Oh well!

These two lipsticks are just plain L-O-V-E. They might be nude and very light, but they glide on very naturally on the lips that you won’t think twice of wearing them even during normal days. You don’t even need to reserve these beauties for special occasions as they don’t grab too much attention, not unless you layer on really alot.
With this, I decided to have some fun and play around my eyes to match these lovely lippies. Smoky eyes usually compliment nude lipsticks, so I came up with a very simple smoky eye makeup look that involved two colors – one dark, and one light. The dark eyeshadow is supposed to be applied from the area closest to the lashline, working your way up in a fading gradient. The lighter eyeshadow is lightly applied on top of the fading gradient, to further smoothen and fade off the harsh lines, as well as work as a brow highlighter.
Smoky eyes are basically dark colored eyeshadows applied on the lids to intensify and make the eyes pop. They can range from simple, sultry, elegant, or even very bold.
For my smoky eyes, I used two very neutral shades. The dark shade is MAC Eyeshadow in Prepped for Glamour, a frosted dark taupe shade that looks dark brown as well. The lighter shade I used was MAC Eyeshadow in Hey, a beautiful peachy gold shade. They’re both from the MAC Prep for Colour Collection. I love these two shades, as Prepped for Glamour is indeed dark, but it’s a very elegant shade that won’t look shocking on the lids. Prepped for Glamour will also make a fabulous crease color. MAC Eyeshadow in Hey, on the other hand, is that very neutral gold that doesn’t look flashy. Needless to say, they’re both very elegant shades that I’d prefer over bolder ones.
Okay, here is my very basic smoky eyes using two shades – how do you like it?

With that, I matched it with two of my nude lipsticks. Blooming Lovely is a very, very pretty purple-pink shade. If you ask me, this is the most wearable nude pink that I’ve ever come across. I like this much better than Pink Nouveau as this does not demand alot of attention. I even like this better than the MAC Lady Gaga lipstick as this is less shocking. It’s just plain pale and lovely, that can pass for au naturelle lips on TV, methinks.

MAC Peachstock, I must agree with my friends who have this, is a gorgeous natural shade of peach. Swiping this on my lips reminded me of runway lips that it’s not too glossy – it just glides on as creamy and very natural. It’s pale, but still gives your lips color and health in a subtle manner. Add more layers and you get naturally pretty peach lips – that your friends will surely comment on.

These two lipsticks are my staples lately, as I bring them along with me everytime I go out. I just love them! Get these babies while they’re still available. I promise you they’re real keepers!
Well, do you want me peached up, or pinked up? I’d love your opinion!
