These are one of the days wherein I feel so bored, but so inspired ( oh yeah, they work well together in my system! haha! ) , that I just thought I’d have some fun with my new Urban Decay Alice in Wonderland Palette. One word – love. Oh, make that two – Love, love. Three? Love, love, love! Hahaha!
Anyway, I’ve decided to go colorful this time, and play with the vivid colors included in the palette,

Here’s the breakdown of the makeup used to achieve a fun, tri-colored eye look.
Base
Make Up For Ever HD Primer
Make Up Forever All Mat
Purpose : to help makeup last longer, to fill in pores and lines, and to ensure a smooth base on the face.
Clinique Superfit Liquid Foundation in Fresh Beige
Make Up For Ever Lift Concealer
CARGO Blu Ray Powder Foundation
Notes :
A huge RAVE on the Clinique Superfit Liquid Foundation! I’ve never, ever been comfortable with wearing liquid foundation for it clogs pores, and makes my face feel greasy and horrible in a few hours, but this maybe the only liquid foundation that my skin will tolerate. It gives good, buildable coverage, it feels absolutely light on the skin, and it does not cake, or move once set! Perspiration, and oily skin-proof. Oh, wonderful!
Make Up For Ever Lift Concealer was used as a light concealer to conceal dark, undereye circles. Take note that concealers surrounding the eye area must be lighter than your normal, full coverage concealers for they would tend to cake on the undereye area. I love the Make Up For Ever Lift Concealer as its consistency is runny ( which is a good thing in this case ), it’s very light, just perfect for the undereyes.
Cargo Blu Ray Powder Foundation is always the best bet to pull off a photogenic look. I’m glad I have a backup of this. The shade’s versatile enough to work on various skin shades.
Brows :
Shiseido Pencil Eyebrow Pencil
Note : I was able to score one of these during my trip to Japan last year. It’s quite a steal- I think it was sold for 70 bucks ( around $1.5? ), and it really draws natural-looking brows.
Okay, I absolutely hate how my eyebrows turned out in that photo, and I know the culprit. NO BROW GEL. For girls who have unruly brows, that always grow, and grow, and grow, if you’re too lazy to maintain and trim them, always use brow gel to sweep them into a neat shape.
Eyes
Base : Urban Decay Primer Potion
For budge-proof eye makeup base for horribly oily lids like mine. UDPP ( get used to this acronym as it’s rampant in forums! ) brings all other makeup bases to shame. Simply a legend!
Eye Colors :
Eyeshadows all included in the Urban Decay Alice in Wonderland Palette
Inner V Color : Alice
Middle Color :Chessur
Outer V Color : Underland
Crease Color : Midnight Tea Party
Eyeliner : Blinc Eyeliner in Dark Brown
Mascara : Blinc Kiss Me Mascara in Black
For a closer look,

A tip for applying three colors of eyeshadows on your eyes – the lightest shade must be either on the inner V, or at the middle. The darkest shade would look best if applied on the outer V. In this case, I applied Alice ( a beautiful almost turquoise blue )on my inner V for it was a medium shade, then applied Underland, a deeper shade, on my outer V, then blended it with the lightest shade, that I put on the middle, which was Chessur, a golden beige color. I love this combination! I applied glittery Midnight Tea Party as a crease color, to further blend out and eradicate harsh lines from the vivid colors. The glitter in it further gave a more fun, and whimsical oomph to the eyes.
Lids were lined with my ever trustworthy liquid eyeliner Blinc Eyeliner ( that is PERFECT for oily lids for it does not smudge, or budge, slick or shine! Blinc Kiss Me Mascara was also used, as my staple no-budge lengthening mascara. I just love Blinc to bits!
Cheeks:
MAC Blush Ombre in Vintage Grape from the Spring Colour Forecast
Note : Oh, how I love this blush! I am currently ignoring the well-raved Blush Ombre in Azalea, as I am challenged to make a grape-colored blush on work on my cheeks. Turns out it gives me that needed reddish flush, but not quite red, and it gives a confusing hint of deep pink as well. It’s great as I can leave people guessing about my mysterious cheek color!
Lips :
MAC Lipstick in Cosmo
Note : With all the new lip colors that were launched in the market, I must admit that I have been neglecting my ever so reliable MAC Lipstick in Cosmo. I wanted something neutral to balance out my colorful eye makeup, but goodness gracious, as it glided on my lips, regrets just rushed in my system – this.is.such.a.gorgeous.shade. This is the most gorgeous pink brown lipstick shade that I have ever tried. I promise that I will never, ever ignore my MAC Cosmo again. I am even contemplating on getting a backup this time! It’s the best looking MAC lipstick on earth, that will always make you look good! Such a lifesaver!
I love the look I pulled off. It’s youthful, it’s fun, it’s colorful! Though I would not wear this on a daily basis, it’s still fun to have played with my eyeshadows. Gives me a breath of fresh, fresh air of youth. Makes me feel young again!
Well, how do you like it?
