Summer, summer, summer. It’s my favorite time of the year, though it has come a little bit too early this time. It’s been inconsiderably warm lately, and definitely requires alot of effort to stay fresh! One way to stay fresh? Summer scents.
Define summer scents.
Summer scents are fragrances that are delicate, light, and are screaming fresh! Summer scents compliment the warm weather, and are usually floral, or citrus, that are in no way heavy. Summer scents help you beat the heat with a burst of freshness that they offer, keeping you fragrant and in sync with the weather, with good vibes trailing you for the entire day.
Say hello to my new summer scent, DKNY Fresh Blossom.
“A blend of sparkling grapefruit, cassis, and sunkissed apricot meets a blooming floral heart of muguet and rose wrapped in luminous jasmine. A signature base of juicy apple completes this fresh and playful experience.”
Floral-fruity. That’s the way I would best describe it. I’m the type who’s very sensitive with fragrances that my facial expressions would really change if I’m bothered about something – I cringe when a scent’s too sweet ( say, too fruity! ), and I easily get migraine when a scent’s too heavy. Being very delicate with fragrances, this, to report, did not give me any headaches, nor would I classify as something for those who love things too sweet.
I’ve struggled to capture the words that best describe the captivating DKNY Be Delicious Fresh Blossom, but in the end, I’ve settled ( yes, words can never compensate the olfactory experience! ) with, “fresh, floral, fruity, morning scent draped in dreamy luxury.” I would say that this is a morning, or day scent, because of its very light lull to the senses.
DKNY Be Delicious Fresh Blossom and I are a perfect match. We both have “good chemistry,” as the scent goes well with my body chemistry, and makes me enjoy summer feeling all girly and beautiful. Thank God I’ve found this, as this is a valuable addition to my precious fragrance collection ( no, I don’t have alot, I only have a good few, and they’re all very special to me! )
BUT….this bottle is not the normal packaging, or bottle for the DKNY Be Delicious Fresh Blossom.
It’s the limited edition DKNY Fresh Blossom Pop Art!
Inspired by the pop art movement, the limited edition Delicious Art program features a lively, comic transformation of the DKNY Be Delicious apple and model. And similar to pop art style and design, the Be Delicious packaging includes ben-day dots, lettering and speech balloons, as well as the depiction of a just-bitten apple. The result: a new, fun, spirited look at the best-selling original DKNY Be Delicious.
The Delicious Art ad and comic strip have been created by New York comic art genius and award winning illustrator, Brad Hamann. The comic strip depicts the Be Delicious girl living life in New York City and exploring all it has to offer. The story shows that this is a city is full of endless possibilities and that anything can happen here.
Though it strongly brings me back to the pop era, like my Archie comics’ occasional turn-back-time themes, it definitely reminds me of a pink apple with a single bite *crrunnchhh!!!* , and cute, pink polka dots. Just oozingly dainty and feminine, and…PINK! You know pink is my weakness – almost all my scents are packaged in pink ( truly! I shall show you one time ) .
One notable difference with regular fragrance bottles with DKNY Be Delicious’ bottles is how the perfume gets dispensed. You press firmly on the middle part of the “apple,”, thus, a tiny squirt that shoots a straight line to your pulse point. It’s like pressing a puncher! Hahaha!
With the limited edition available, make sure to try this really feminine summer scent, as you get to hit two birds with one stone – having a valuable addition to your roster of scents, and getting a limited edition pink apple!
