Girls and boys, I’d like to share to you my small achievement – the photo above is showcased in a billboard in c5, and I’m part of the makeup team!
My story?
A few weeks ago, I was tasked to do the makeup of some of the endorsers of the very nationalistic Adidas Philippine Range. I simply adore the new designs of the Adidas Philippine Range, you really have to check them out, while they’re still available!
Included in Adidas‘ roster of endorsers are professional basketball players, coaches, famous DJs at our local radio stations, musicians, TV personalities, and even movie stars! Adidas also has very attractive employees who are included in the photoshoot. I divided this special into two parts- one for the boys, and one for the girls.
Part 1 is well, about the boys. What I have to say about them? Their eyes certainly trailed on the airbrush gun that I was using – some were wondering what the airbrush gun was for, and some thought it was a cool technological concept fused into makeup artistry. Yep, I did airbrush makeup to the endorsers, that made it more photogenic, and really flawless. What was so nice about airbrush was that it actually cut the foundation application time in half. Doing men’s makeup is simple, and tricky at the same time. You need their cheeks to get some color, but the blush or bronzer need to be subtle and not evident. Lip balm with a tinge of red ( Kiehl’s lip balm is the best ! ) Foundation for photoshoot needed to be thick, and even the thickest of makeup would be washed out with the bright lights in the studio.
Well, enough about my blabbing, I’ll let the pictures do the talking!

First up, is rock band Sponge Cola. Doing makeup for the band members was a joint effort by me and Jamie of Mizzmakeup. I was able to do makeup for Yael Yuzon and Reynaldo Dilay.

Next up, we have the sportsmen.

Coach Ryan Gregorio had such nice skin to begin with that I had to ask him what his secret was.

Funny thing, I don’t watch basketball on local TV, but meeting these basketball players brings back fond memories of UAAP back when I was in college. Take note that I was on the green side, and these are former Ateneo Blue Eagles star players! Don’t worry, I’m not a die hard UAAP addict. I just enjoy watching it.Haha!
Next was my dream come true ( I am not ashamed to admit it ), to be able to do makeup for one of the basketball players/ celebrities that I truly admire(since wayy back when I was still in college!)…

Chris Tiu! Yes, I had to pinch myself that I was not dreaming!
Last but not the least, was Drei Felix, a TV personality/actor, and VJ. He’s also known as VJ Drei of Myx. Very funny, and kind guy!

Overall, the day was very very tiring, but fulfilling. To be honest, I thought it was going to be for a print ad, but upon arrival, I was told that it was also for a billboard. I almost fell off my chair, and felt the pressure. But then, no guts, no glory! A girl’s gotta do, what a girl’s gotta do!
Well, that’s what I have for now ! I’ll be back for my part two of this.
Tata!
