With my third installment of the MAC Spring Colour Forecast, I give you plum and burgundy shades!
Looking at the picture, do you see something different? Look closer, look closer.
Okay, MAC has a totally revamped eyeshadow quad packaging! The new eyeshadow quad looks very sleek compared to the old one, but the old one, with its textured plastic is actually mess-free, as compared to the new eyeshadow quad packaging. Nonetheless, I’m still after the color payoff of the quads.
On to my review,

The MAC Colour 3 Spring Forecast Eyeshadow Quad comes in the usual purple-themed eyeshadows.
Mink Pink ( upper left ) in Veluxe Pearl is a pastel pink ( though a bit darker ) that goes on matte, Bruised Plum is a semi-frosted plummy shade with white reflects, Black Tulip ( lower left ) even if marked as frosted doesn’t come off too frosty and looks beautiful dark violet , and Jungle Moon ( lower right ) is a matte eggplant shade that’s great for those dramatic eye makeup looks to substitute for black.
My huge gripe is that the colors don’t show up well on my lids, and are not pigmented enough. With that, I am really saddened because the colors of this quad have so much potential. It’s not everyday that I experience this with a MAC eyeshadow quad because all the quads I own have good color payoff. Disappointing.

The Vintage Grape Blush Ombre is an orchid pastel purple shade on top, which goes deeper at the bottom of the pan. It’s not your usual blush, I tell you. As I applied it on my cheeks, it screamed grape at me. Not so natural, but interesting, and worth a second look. When you look at it, you might have trouble identifying the shade. It’s like pink, but turning purple, but somewhat, I don’t know if it’s in my imagination, but there’s even a reddish tint on this! A light hand must be used on this so you won’t look bruised. Keeping yourself on the top pan would help you achieve a purplish pink hue on the cheeks. Not so bad.

MAC Lipglass in Purple Rage is a luscious looking deep raspberry shade. It can be worn alot, very much like a lip and cheek tint effect, only with more gloss. It’s not too screaming red, for it belongs to a darker red. For red lovers out there, this is a good sheer lip color that you might want to sport for lazy days, but still want to go red! This can also be worn on top of red lipstick to further intensify the red, and give it a 3d effect.
Swatches below,

Overall, I’m not too fond of Colour Forecast 3. They’re just too dark for my taste. I prefer 1 and 2. Well, how about number 4?
