It’s the first time I’ve heard of oral sunblock. For years, all I know is that sun protection is obtained just from creams and added SPF’s from mineral makeup, and moisturizers!

Heliocare works to turn back the sun. It offers the unique properties of a natural fern extract (PLE).

Heliocare works as a potent oral antioxidant. Heliocare is antioxidants which has been shown to mop up free radicals before they damage important cellular proteins. Heliocare is taken daily. It is active within half an hour of the first dose (unlike many oral antioxidants which take months to build up sufficient levels). Also, because Heliocare is taken orally it is effective in protecting cells deep in the skin – topical antioxidants are usually ineffective in protecting cells at this level. Damage to these deeper cells is responsible for many of the signs of photoaging (e.g. wrinkles.)

Wow. Such an interesting concept. So, no need to slather sunblock as an effort against anti-aging? Because right now, it is definitely the norm. Heliocare is said to hinder collagen depletion caused by UVA, increase skin tissue up to 66%, increase the skin’s resistance to sunburn, prevent hyperpigmentation, and boost your skin with a huge dose of antioxidants.

I’m quite curious on how this would fare out, but this seems promising. Remember acne topical medicine? If the acne is just too severe, we resort to oral medicine. I think it works that way, just for sun protection! I think it’s potent, so for those who are always out under the sun, I think the extra protection would help.

Has anyone tried this already? I’d love to hear from you! But for Philippine readers, you may get your bottles ( a bottle costs P 2900 php ) from Hannah See-Sy ( an avid golfer who swears by this product as she takes them as well ) , +63917 525-0419.

Wow. It’s the first time I’ve heard of this. However, I don’t think its meant AS a sunblock: I think it’s a sun protection supplement of some sort but never as a replacement. It’s way too expensive for me to try it though. I’ll stick to sunblocks and separate supplements for now.

murad has something similar. it’s from pomegranate or some such fruit. interesting concept–it’s been around for a long time though.. japanese pills, well, this particular brand that i know anyway, makes your skin’s defense against uva and uvb rays stronger. it’s taken orally too. but you still have to slather on the sunblock/screen, of course.

I’ve been using Heliocare pills for 3 years. It’s kite good. My dermatologist seeing that I had an allergy to the water pressure and some spots from the spun told me that it was a very good product. My allergy stopped and in the Summer I’m all ways with a very nice tan that lasts and lasts….
