Sometimes I wish I was born normal.

Born with normal skin, that is! Haha ! What were you thinking?

Living on the extremes is just plain…challenging. Dry skinned people often need the most effective ( and maybe thick in texture ) moisturizers and are in danger of having premature wrinkles and clogged pores from within ( because their pores are so closed! ) , while oily skinned people need really cleansing facial wash products ( almost stripping their skin off their natural moisture ), and super hydrating yet very very light moisturizers. The only good thing about having oily skin is that our skin tends to stall aging. Oh, don’t get me started with open pores!

With almost all moisturizers oiling up on me, and me not being comfortable with the feel of moisturizers even if they’re already water-based, I succumbed to serums. Say hello to my new friends, Celltrex Recovery Fluid and Celltrex CoQ10 Complete.

Nu Skin reveals the Mediterranean secret of beautiful skin with Celltrex Ultra Recovery Fluid. Known for promoting good health among people of the Mediterranean, now olive oil can enhance the beauty of your skin. Celltrex Ultra contains concentrated levels of the polyphenol Hydroxytyrosol, the most powerful component of olive oil that scavenges free radicals and protects at the cellular level. Dermatologists understand that cellular oxidation is a source of skin aging. Daily exposure to the environment unleashes a cascade of free radicals in the body. Science shows the nutrients found in olive oil can be effective in relieving oxidative stress on cells. Just a few drops of Celltrex Ultra every morning and night keeps your skin looking supple, firm and healthy.

Celltrex Ultra Recovery Fluid ( picture shown above ) is a boost of antioxidants that help repair the skin during night time, as skin is exposed to free radicals and undergoes stress during the day. See the main ingredient? It’s olive oil but it’s not greasy at all. Not even a tiny bit. It feels like a thin gel as it is applied on the skin, and the texture disappears as it is fully absorbed by the skin. I use this at night, after I use Clindamycin as my toner, and I wake up with plump, and oil-less skin. Yes, no grease, no oilies at all. It’s astounding news to me already as every single moisturizer that I have used at night gives me the greasy feel the morning after. It also makes my boxed scars look less visible and noticeable with the plump-ing of the skin.

Yes, I’m totally in love with it! But for morning, I have another one that I use, called Celltrex CoQ10 Complete. Its benefits include :

* Supplies and exclusive combination of colorless for a radiant, youthful appearance.
* carotenoids Promotes essential cellular energy production and vitamins C and E for a complete antioxidant network of protection against skin-damaging free radicals.
* Enhances CoQ10 bioactivity for a healthier, more youthful appearance
* Provides a daily antidote to the signs of aging by increasing energy levels within the skin.

This is the Celltrex Recovery Fluid with added CoQ10, Vitamins C and E, and carotenoids. What does this mean? Ultra anti-aging, of course! haha! It’s the Recovery Fluid with the added benefits of anti-aging to be worn during the day for more protection against environmental stress and free radicals. Hydration is already a given. Ooh, I like the sound of this!

These two are simply heaven-sent for oily skinned people like me, because they are just so light, and yet they give so much benefits to the skin, keeping it well-protected against aging and stress. The only drawback is that they don’t have sun protection. For lotion or cream-phobic gals, check out Colorescience Sunforgettable Powder, a mineral sunblock. The combo is good enough. No greasies. Haha!

After a month’s use of these two, I have come to love them so much because my skin is as calm as ever, and it doesn’t look too harassed even if I was just so stressed during those days. I think I would be repurchasing this, and would be using this for good. They feel good on the skin and I love the effect. Indulging in anti-aging wouldn’t hurt either, as I’m not getting any younger.

To sum up, these two new friends of mine don’t come in cheap ( they retail for around PHP1900+ or 38 USD a small 50ml bottle ), but it buys the comfort of not having greasy skin for those who have oily skin. It’s the perfect moisturizer substitute, that also gives you anti-aging!

P.S. I’ve always loved Nu Skin products. I’ve been using them since I was in highschool! I’ve experienced straying away to try to find better brands, but this brand makes me come back for it over, and over again. They’re wonderfully water-based ( perfect for my skin ), not a hindrance to other treatments ( they are neutral, in my opinion ), and works great as maintenance skin care. Splurging on skin care is better than trying to treat skin problems.

Hi Sophie! Nice meeting you. Sometimes I saw u at bazaar but so shy to approach u..hehe…

Anyway, I just want to know..if u have been using the Anti Acne set and Triphase Set of Nu Skin products before? If you are using it, can it be blended with Celltrex fluid and CoQ10 Complete? Sorry for asking too much as i want to try out but hard to find honest distributors here plus I am so skeptical… Thank you! and more power to you.

Hi Valkyrie! You should’ve said hi! :)

I have used the acne set before, I think way back in college. From my knowledge, Celltrex can be used with any of the sets of Nu Skin. It’s an added boost of antioxidants that protects your skin from environmental stress and free radicals. I’m using a really good set from Nu Skin now ( to be revealed next week! ) and Ive been recommended to still use this rin. :) I understand how you feel about some Nu Skin distributors. I’m just lucky that mine’s a good friend from college. If you want, send me an email and I can hook you up with her. :)

I already posted about ageLOC :) holes – well, I dont know, but I’ve gotten depressed and boxed scars from my stubborn years – because I pricked them. I dont know if Nu Skin ever did that. :)
