Bobbi Brown’s Makeup Tip for Fall

“Pencils are back in a big way for fall. They’re quick, mistake-proof and can go from subtle to bold in one easy stroke.” – Bobbi Brown “

Looks like the subtle smoky look is very much in for fall, thanks to the ever versatile pencil eyeliner. Bobbi Brown’s Creamy Eye Pencils are creamy enough to smudge, and make that au naturelle definition.

Avon Celebrates Three Women’s Shining Moments

Hello everyone!

Just posting this to serve as food for the thought. I read this press release, and it was just inspirational. Gold is a significant color. I see gold as a color that symbolizes triumph – way back when I would aim for gold medals in swimming competitions when I was still a kid, and I also see gold as color of royalty – it reminds me of my interpretation of the legendary Cleopatra’s makeup – maybe her eyes were painted in gold. I also see gold in the glorious sunshines that await me every single day – every day is a day to make the most out of. Gold is a beautiful, bright color that somehow inspires everyone to move forward and be the best that they can be.

Avon Celebrates Three Women’s Shining Moments

A lipstick that gives your lips a dazzling shimmer and makes you feel like a golden goddess is great reason for celebration. Global beauty company Avon offers an all-new lipstick collection that promises to dress up lips with dazzling shimmer for special occasions or everyday glam. Avon introduces Ultra Moisture Rich 24K Lipstick, the only lipstick infused with real 24K gold to give you luxurious, glistening lips.

Avon marks Ultra Moisture Rich 24K Gold Lipstick launch by giving recognition to three Filipino women whose golden shine is not only on their lips but also in the way they live their lives as advocates, entrepreneurs, champions, mentors, and role models.

Cancer survivor Crisann Celdran: Each day is a golden gift

Ten years ago at 26, Crisann Celdran was diagnosed with cancer. Compelled to connect with a cancer survivor to help her on her own journey, she met Kara Magsanoc-Alikpala. They and two other survivor friends, despite limited resources, ended up forming the I CanServe Foundation. Said Celdran, “We knew very little and had different experiences but shared one dream: that cancer survivors should not go through this path alone.”

The Beautynomist Back in Mnl, MaMa Lotion is Rebranded!

Hi everyone!

First things first – I.am.back!!! For good! I just arrived in Manila two days ago ( that’s a Sunday ) , and I couldn’t be happier. I absolutely loved, and will always cherish my 6 month stay in Singapore, with all the techniques I’ve learned, all the friends I’ve earned ( and reconnected with ) , all the new things I’ve experienced, but nothing feels like home – and I know now that Manila is where I belong to.

Needless to say – it’s absolutely GREAT to be back! I am thrilled, and excited to see my friends once more, and blog about Manila’s beauty scene, and blog about more beauty products!

Okay, so I’ll let you in a secret of mine – I’m a little bit sad, (well, about to me more sad ), because weeks prior to my leaving Singapore, my favorite beauty product left me as well. My bottle of MaMa Lotion, my ever reliable skin care product that I apply every night for microexfoliation and prevention of acne, oily skin, and a good pore refiner, has disappeared. Blame it on my short term memory loss, wherein I always forget where I put stuff, I have turned my flat upside down, and it’s still gone. Sigh. So there, it’s been two weeks since my skin hasn’t had its nightly MaMa Lotion lovin`, and my skin has gone back into being oily, and I see whiteheads on my pores. I just know, that I need a bottle of MaMa Lotion soon, so I began searching for good deals in the internet.

Makeup School, and Makeup Artist Escapades : School’s Done, Done, Done!

Roughly a year ago, going to makeup school abroad was just a dream – a fun thought that I could go away the next year to give myself a break from being burned out from work, and hone my skills, even more. I just can’t believe that I’m here, this moment, where everything comes to an end. I have actually braved going to Singapore to study Advanced Bridal Makeup, and Airbrush Makeup, and finished it!

Mind you, it wasn’t easy. There were times when I just wanted to give up and thought that I wasn’t good enough. There were also moments when I seriously doubted if I could really do this. There were moments of heartbreak as well. But then, with the support and love of my classmates, and very good friends ( from highschool, and college who happen to be living in Singapore, quite a big group, actually ), I managed to lift myself up, be more determined, and persevere until I was able to improve, and hone my craft pretty well. Evaluating myself right now, I think I’m actually proud of what I’ve accomplished, I learned so much, and my hard work paid off. I’m definitely still a work in progress, but I know I’m going somewhere.

Here are some pictures of our last day in school, wherein we had our practical exams. My eyes were pretty bloodshot that day because I didn’t get enough sleep ( got really jittery ), my hair was horrible ( someone needs a rebonding sesh soon! ) but I’m just so proud of reaching this last leg that I can’t not afford not to post them!

This new collection from MAC Cosmetics is an absolute blast as there are alot of new stuff in here! Mineralized Skinfinish, Eyeshadows, Blushes, swirly Lipglasses, and nice makeup brushes!

This is definitely one of the best collections of the year!

An Artist’s signature is the finishing touch, the decisive moment when colour, composition, and creativity come together in equal measure.

Colour Craft is all about making it your own…perfection as The Muse intended. This unprecedented assortment of Mineralize Skinfinish shades work it out beautifully, with three new mosaic combinations: Triple Fusion, Smooth Merge, Warm Blend; or simply singular one-shade Sunny By Nature, just Porcelain Pink, or rich Cheeky Bronze. 130 Duo Fibre Brush with built-in short natural fibres AND longer optic fibres all-in-one comes together as the ultimate Artist’s tool for sleek shading and haute highlighting.

MAC Cosmetics Euristocrats Collection

MAC Cosmetics just keep on coming up with exciting collections, and this one is quite close to my heart – for I love MAC Cosmetics for coming up with really nice lipstick shades. Their Cremesheen line and Amplified Creme line won my heart whole, but this Euristocrats Collection seems quite promising that I can’t wait to see them in counters very very soon!
