Well, my beauties, first of all, let me share to you my favorite place in this whole wide world.

Boracay, Aklan, Philippines. It’s got the perfect baby powder sand, the clearest blue waters, and the most breathtaking sunset, ever.
I’ve been so blessed with two days of good weather to get myself a fabulous tan and enjoy my favorite place with my very good friends, and new friends as well. Of course, I’m getting a tan quite cautiously, so before I spray on my favorite tanning oil, I always make sure to have good ol’ sunblock slathered on my skin for protection.

Aside from my trusty Neutrogena Ultra Sheer Dry-Touch Sunblock SPF 70, which I apply on my body, I’ve also adapted a new favorite, also from Neutrogena, called Neutrogena Ultrasheer Waterlight SPF 50 Facial Sunblock.
With Neutrogena’s revolutionary Dry Touch technology, the Ultra Sheer Waterlight SPF 50+ boasts of an ultra-lightweight feel that does not leave a sticky or greasy feeling. Its fluid texture also allows one to spread the lotion smoothly onto the face, leaving a clean, non-shiny and velvety finish, perfect for everyday use.
“The Neutrogena Ultra Sheer Waterlight SPF 50+ provides women with superior ultra-lightweight protection lotion against UV and environmental aggressors for healthy, beautifully radiant skin. It’s fluid texture gives you a fresh, ultra-light feel. And combined with Dry Touch technology, it does not leave an oily or greasy feel. In fact, it is so light, when the sun screen is absorbed, it feels like there you have nothing on,“ explained Gabriel Roxas, Neutrogena brand manager.
Even if it is so light, it is still ultra-powerful and effective, with it’s SPF 50+ shielding skin from 90%-95% of UVA/UVB rays. It provides women with superior protection against darkening and signs of premature aging. And because it works and feels like water, the product ensures the skin is hydrated for soft healthy skin.
With a combination of anti-oxidants, including Vitamins C and E, the Neutrogena Ultra Sheer Waterlight SPF 50+ also protects skin against free radicals and oxidation that are induced by exposure to the environment. It is the perfect everyday shield, and women will not even feel it’s there. Neutrogena’s newest facial sunscreen is also oil-free and non-comedogenic, so it will not clog pores or cause breakouts.
I found this very lightweight ( indeed ) in feel. The consistency is almost watery, just like a very light moisturizer geared for oily skin, and I feel like I have nothing on my skin as it sunk in. It’s very oily skin friendly that it did not make my skin break out, and it did not grease up my skin, as well. With those appealing qualities, I think this would be great for everyday wear, as well, because of it’s lightweight feel that would be a very safe makeup base, that wouldn’t clash with your normal moisturizer, as well.
…and, even if the rains have started pouring in, we still need sunblock – there’s still harm in being in front of the computer, and the sun still shines everyday, even if not as strong,UVA and UVB radiation still works through your skin seeking to damage it. Even in an overcast sky, dermatologists say that 60-80% of UV rays are able pass through clouds and reach the surface, or one’s skin!
As the sun being the number one cause for aging skin, we need to keep ourselves young as much as we can, and applying sunblock would be one little routine everyday that we can thank ourselves in the future for doing such!

Sophie, I couldn’t find this anywhere last weekend…where were you able to buy it?
I saw the SPF50+++ version in Watsons yesterday in my country and I was thinking whether it is good. Now that you blogged about, it sounds something to be put on my wishlist!

Cyndi : I love it. Very sheer!
Yup, it’s a new product
Saw it in Watson’s! I thought Ultra Sheer Dry Touch was my HG, until I found Waterlight. Works better on my combination/oily skin.
