You just know how close mineral makeup is close to my heart. It’s what saved my skin, and the reason why I am happy and smiling. It’s a miracle product for acne prone skin that doesn’t aggravate our condition, and yet helps us look and feel beautiful without harming our skin.

Well, great news ladies!

My favorite mineral makeup brand that is available in malls finally hits Manila! Colorescience Mineral Makeup now found a first, new home in “Beauty by SM,” the new beauty section of SM Department Store in SM Megamall.

What I love, love about Colorescience is the quality of their mineral makeup. The ingredients ( excluding the always debated about bismuth oxychloride ) are undeniably very good – that can be seen in the face. Diane Ranger, founder of the brand, sought to make the best mineral makeup around using only the best ingredients available, that it’s even endorsed by Dr. Zein Obagi! I’ve been using their products for two months already and people always notice how better my skin looks. Take note on the emphasis of skin, not makeup. Colorescience is a luxury mineral makeup brand that definitely delivers results, and is worth every penny.

My recommendations?

Colorescience Pressed Mineral Pigments
Full coverage mineral makeup, with very, very flawless results. I can’t say more, but if I were to be asked what item I would get if it was only one item ( though it would be hard ), this would be it. The staying power is superb, and well, did I just mention that the coverage is buildable from light to heavy?

SRP : P 3,500.00 ( Philippine peso )

Colorescience Sunreliable Primers
Oh, this is the best primer that I have so far. I mix these with Make Up For Ever’s All Matt for a mattifying effect, since they can be pretty moisturizing. Organo-silicone proves a very good substitute against silicone based primers, as they work just as well – filling in pores and fine lines, and highly complimenting Colorescience’s Pressed Mineral Pigments. Take your pick – Wild to Mild Bronzer for sunburnt skin and for that tanned look, Line Tamer to tame fine lines and give a brightening effect, or Chocolate Mousse for acne-prone and oily skin. a When the two ( primer + powder ) combine together, they form just about the perfect, seamless base!

SRP : P 3,500.00 ( Philippine peso )

Correcting Kit
Oh, how I just love applying concealers – in powder form, that is! I try to stray away from liquid concealers, but sometimes, I just have to use them for coverage, but not anymore! This correcting kit is heaven sent, specially with the yellow one that just makes my undereye circles disappear, and the others to help conceal dark spots and imperfections. The concealer brushes included in the set are very precise, as well. Don’t look onto the “eyeshadow pan”-ish appearance of this correcting kit. It miraculously covers alot of imperfections, naturally, even I was surprised!

SRP : P 3,750.00 ( Philippine peso )

Sunforgettable SPF 30 Brush
Oh how I love this. The easiest sunblock to apply on this planet! hahaha! I apply this right after my foundation, or right after applying primer , to give me that secured, “protected from UV doom” feel minus the ickiness factors of sunblocks in cream form. Plus, it’s very water resistant, I can go swimming with it!

SRP : P 4,000.00 ( Philippine peso )

So, if you happen to pass by SM Megamall, make sure to drop by Beauty by SM, and the Colorescience, to be one of the first to get your hands on this very, very impressive mineral makeup brand! I’m sure, you’ll be as hooked as I am once you get to try these babies! You’ll definitely get what I mean. * wink*

    Expensive naman! :(
but if its endorsed by Dr. Zein Obagi this is good (btw iam a obagi user for years now and it really improved my acne prone skin)
will go to megamall this week to test this product

Whoa, this one’s really expensive. I think it’s more expensive than Jane Iredale. Hmmm, but I guess the quality will do the justice, so I have yet to try this. :)

Now I’m curious about the pressed mineral pigment! Honestly, as much as I love MMU, I hate that it’s too messy and bulky to carry around!

But hey, now’s a good time to go back to SM Megamall! Haha!

Whoa, really expensive stuff. Kinda like Jane Iredale? But if it’s endorsed by Obagi, it sounds promising.

Colorescience is impressive. Wow, waterproof! Hope you can help us on how to ‘properly’ use the corrector kit. :) I’m currently using the MUFE palette concealer. TIA!

I was so excited when I came across them sa SM. They’re here! Eyeing na the powder sunscreen. Heheh, most of my prep time in the morning kasi is waiting for all those layers of creams and lotions to dry. Since I switched to powder primer, it’s cut my prep time by so much. I’m sure powder sunscreen will cut it down even more. No more waiting to dry!

Would you know if Colorescience is available in SM Makati or Mall of Asia? I want to try. I’ve been looking for sunprotection in powder form that’s waterproof so I can do my morning runs with a fresh look. And I hate going to SM Megamall.

[...] drawback is that they don’t have sun protection. For lotion or cream-phobic gals, check out Colorescience Sunforgettable Powder, a mineral sunblock. The combo is good enough. No greasies. [...]

Ay sayang, dont have booth at moa? Wanna ask if they have a sample bottle to sell for sunblock? I want to try it out…hehe… Hope this will solve my combination/oily skin. Btw, what is primer? It is the same meaning as makeup base? Can I use different brands with blended with colorescience?

Thanks thanks! hope u reply soon.

I dont think they have a sample bottle. :) Primer is something that you wear before foundation to prime your skin and make makeup glide better. Yes, correct. Yes, you can mix different brands :)
