Makeup Artist Escapades : Miss Earth Singapore Stint

Last Saturday, I was a happy makeup artist as I was reunited with my buddies in makeup school, in Chinatown Point for one of the mall shows of the Miss Earth Singapore Beauty Pageant. It was one busy morning, as usually, shows like this require speed and precision. I’m not the best person when it comes to speed since I love taking my time, and perfecting everything, but I was challenged that day!

Makeup Artist Escapades : Pictures of My Recent Work, v.2

It’s another splendid day and I’m very very happy that I am able to have time to blog here, since it’s my baby, after all!

Here’s another round of my portfolio shots, featuring my all time favorite model, and very good friend, Cristine Uy. One sunny afternoon in Singapore, me and my very good friend slash photographer Adrian Teng collaborated to shoot in his place, and I was able to do three looks on Cristine. Here they are!

elegant Cristine.

Makeup Artist Escapades : Pictures of My Recent Work, v.1

Blessed with beautiful friends. That’s how lucky I am!

Another round of apologies to my readers for being MIA again. Rest assured, I’m all yours for the taking, effective today, for I have just finished submitting my requirements to pass makeup school. Two down – a stint at Chinatown for Miss Earth, and practical exams next week. Yay! Thank you so much for all my friends and readers ( turned friends, of course! ) who have supported me, and gave me well wishes.

Now, let me share to you one of my shoots. This was held on a Sunday in my house, as I invited my beauty blogging girlfriends, my gorgeous neighbor, plus my very supportive photographer to help me out.

I can’t say much, let the pictures do the talking `ya?

Beautynomics Review: Neutrogena Ultrasheer Waterlight SPF 50 Facial Sunblock

Well, my beauties, first of all, let me share to you my favorite place in this whole wide world.

old friends, new friends!

Boracay, Aklan, Philippines. It’s got the perfect baby powder sand, the clearest blue waters, and the most breathtaking sunset, ever.

I’ve been so blessed with two days of good weather to get myself a fabulous tan and enjoy my favorite place with my very good friends, and new friends as well. Of course, I’m getting a tan quite cautiously, so before I spray on my favorite tanning oil, I always make sure to have good ol’ sunblock slathered on my skin for protection.

Aside from my trusty Neutrogena Ultra Sheer Dry-Touch Sunblock SPF 70, which I apply on my body, I’ve also adapted a new favorite, also from Neutrogena, called Neutrogena Ultrasheer Waterlight SPF 50 Facial Sunblock.

Make Up For Ever Expands HD Product Line with HD Elixir

High Definition makeup, or HD makeup as we call it, is all the rage right now. HD cameras are slowly ( or okay, rapidly ) being sold in the market, HDTV’s, and every single TV personality is vulnerable to their every flaw to be exposed onscreen – fine lines, pores, etc.

Gotta admit. Make Up For Ever has the best HD makeup line in the market right now. It’s got the very buildable and flawless HD Liquid Foundation, it’s got some kickass HD Finishing Powder that makes pores seem nonexistent and makes skin oil free, and some nice HD tools like for example, their HD sponge and very very very nice HD kabuki brush ( I love this! )

And now, they have the HD Elixir.

Saying Hello Again: Kerastase Oleo Relax Masque

I think it’s been years since I’ve last used Kerastase’s Oleo Relax Masque. I’ve been lured by new hair products in the market that I’ve been experimenting and enjoying all of them.

But then, when I look at my hair, I still haven’t felt that magic I’ve had with Kerastase. Kerastase is ultimately my favorite hair care brand of all time, and I believe that all the products work as they claim, that even if they are a bit pricey, I am most willing to splurge with this brand.

Makeup Artist Escapades : Bronzing Up a Fairy

Lately, I’ve been very busy with photoshoots as I am going to pass them as part of my requirements in passing my makeup course. I’ve been very, very tired, but highly gratified with what I am doing, so I guess it’s very much worth it.

One of my teaser shots is the picture above. Machi, the model assigned to me, was photographed all bronzed up for the first time! I love her. She looks very much like a fairy! I call her the Summer Fairy. Sexy. Alluring. Amplified tan. Thanks to my friend Sheila for taking this wonderful photo!

I was also very happy to have worked with my favorite classmate of all time, Brigitte. It’s been like ages since we last worked together, and it just feels like home working with her.

More to come!
