Best thing about having classmates in makeup school who are equally, or even more passionate as I am is that I don’t just explore makeup or beauty products on my own – we share information and ideas! We’re like giggling girls going gaga over makeup everytime we see new products!

I remember a few months ago suggesting a great makeup primer, Smashbox Photofinish in Light. Yesterday, my eyes absolutely brightened up with classmate Sherry ( our local resident kikay classmate ) showed me her new baby – it’s the Smashbox Hybrid 2 in 1 Luminizer. It comes in a tube, so you squeeze out product to use.

Turns out there were two holes in the tube, one for the Smashbox Photofinish Primer, and one for Artificial Light. Artificial Light is sort of a frosty beige, highlighter shade that reflects light for a flawless complexion, so when it gets mixed to the transparent photofinish primer, it becomes a silicone-smooth primer with added glow to the skin. This is perfect for those who have dull, lifeless skin, or just too stressed from work – this should definitely give them that fresh, fresh glow!

Our classmates went gaga over it, specially Sherry’s model for the day, Lynette, as she felt her skin baby smooth with the silicone texture. I also noticed that her fair skin looked more glowing. This is a limited edition item, so I hope that I could get my hands on this before it gets sold out !

Hi Sophie! I was able to get this and try this at the back of my hand when I went to Beauty Bar, I love it! Your skin will illuminate and glow :) But I think the main trick here is to just use a little of it, not much :) I love Smashbox products :)

Is it sparkly? That’s something I really don’t like about primers and illuminating products, because I got a product from The Face Shop that promised “glow” but only gave me tiny glittery bits. It looks so stage-y that I got scared of trying out products that supposedly give glowing skin. Hopefully this will be different :)

hi! looks promising. same question as kaye though. does it have glitter particles? some illuminants give the face an oily kind of shiny. others give it a freshly-washed kind of glow. how much is it?
