Yesterday was one of the most emotionally unstable days of my life.
I’ve been a bit down because my flatmates are all in Manila, so that leaves me home alone, but my classmates from makeup school made my day, with a not-so-boring, and interesting hairstyling class today.
But then, the highlight of my day was right after school as I dragged my classmate Bernadette to Vivo City, for today was the official launch of the MAC Hello Kitty Collection in Singapore! I wasn’t able to take pictures on-site, but it’s a huge, huge display of Hello Kitty outside Tang’s Vivo, with makeovers, and lots of displays of the MAC Hello Kitty Collection! I almost cried when the MAC makeup artist told me that the Hello Kitty doll was sold out this morning all over Singapore, but then, miraculously, as a sign from heaven that I’ve been a good girl, another makeup artist approached the makeup artist I was dealing with and told me that they had one doll left. Sold! Hahahaha!
Anyway, I’m too exhausted, as I was so drained with happiness, and well, my credit card a bit “scratched” today, but then I am a huge Hello Kitty fan ever since, so I just took this one big luxurious splurge this weekend – and hey, I never spluged for any MAC collection ever, right? Just this once, just this once! ( I am sounding like Becky Bloomwood from Confessions of a Shopaholic, eh? ) Anyway, shown above, are the accessories that I’ve bought. They’re all wonderful!
Aside from the very cute, collectible accessories, I also got me some more MAC Hello Kitty makeup. Half of them are my friend’s ( yoohoo, Ruby! ), whom I share my Hello Kitty addiction with :
I could still recall my excitement, as I rushed to Vivo City ( Harbourfront MRT ) from Orchard, where my school is, because there were so much people buying, and checking out MAC stuff, particularly the Hello Kitty Collection. It was a busy day for MAC Cosmetics that day, with alot of makeup artists running back and forth doing makeovers and attending to customers. The rush that day was just crazy.
The lipsticks in the MAC Hello Kitty Collection are very very cute, and youthfully vibrant. Most Popular is a beautiful plum pink shade that can be worn everyday, or for a subtle red lip for everyday, Cute-ster is a very youthful peach bursting with freshness, and Fresh Brew is a very sexy and fresh beige-bronze shade that is screaming summer!
The Tinted Lip Conditioner SPF 15 in Popster is a beautiful coral pink shade that I’d be using for my everyday lip color from now on – for my lips have been chapping very badly. This keeps your lips moisturized, protected ( with the SPF ) and looking pretty with the color! I just love the shade. So fresh and cute! Mimmy Lipglass, on the other hand, is one of the most beautiful peach lipglasses I’ve ever seen. Very nice for everyday wear, or an accent to a nude lip, as well!
The Too Dolly palette is not for the faint hearted. I used two shades for an informal photoshoot awhile ago ( I’ll update you my lovelies! ), and the colors were tres vibrant! From left to right – Yogurt is a good highlighter, perhaps to tone down the other shades, Romping is a crazy, crazy fuchschia shade , Too Dolly is a beautiful light turquoise blue, and Stately Black is a glittery navy blue shade that can be a substitute for black, be it for definition, crease color, outer V shade, or smoky eye. For those who are a bit adventurous, but still not quite, the Lucky Tom palette would do you good.
The Tippy Beauty Powder Blush is just a beautiful pink that gives the face a burst of youth. They say that applying blush gives youth back, or keeps youth in the face because of the color on the cheeks. This medium pink shade is just perfect for everyday application, like Fun and Games, which is also an everyday staple of mine.
Well, that’s about my shopping spree last Friday. I’m now at home, spending a very quiet Saturday, eating dinner at home, because it’s saving-up time from my splurge! But I’m a happy detainee at home, I assure you! I have my Hello Kitty Plush Doll to accompany me at night!

Man, I hope that mirrored key clip will be sold here. I wasn’t able to order it from Nordies because it was a MAC online exclusive.
Love your haul. I already pre-ordered some stuff from the US (because I was afraid the ladies in Manila will fall in line for these, leaving me with nothing LOL), just waiting for them to arrive. But I will get the Popster TLC, Strayin l/s, She Loves Candy l/g here. And the mirrored key clip, hopefully.
Well I’m not much of a Hello Kitty fan but I do admire the fact that she’s been around for so long and so many people still go gaga over her. Heheh I know Tiffy’s super addicted to HK too!
