Beautynomics Review : Sephora Long-Lasting Eye Liner

As I was hoping for a huge Sephora store to be opened here in Singapore, I was a little bit disappointed that it was actually not so big here, but then, good thing that they still carry some of the Sephora products that are quite economical, but perform really good as well. Since I was scouting for a good , liquid liner, and my skin’s really oily that nothing really lasts except adding the Bare Escentuals Weather Anything Liner Sealer to the formula, so I decided to get something colorless.

And maybe something glittery.

Bloomwoodized : Luckiest Girl In Orchard Road Gets Her Suisse Lip Repair Complex!

Yesterday, I was the luckiest girl in Orchard Road. At least I felt, I was! My eyes were sparkling all the time!

Okay, when you see the word “Orchard Road,” you would know that this is shopping-related right? Okay, I am speaking like Becky Bloomwood again! Thing is, Confessions of A Shopaholic is not even shown here, and is due on the 27th! But its shopaholic vibe is just driving me mad!

Okay, so here’s why – I’ll tell you how it goes ( storytelling time! ).

Rewind 2 weeks before Sunday – it was a very rainy day as my classmates and I sought some refuge inside Wisma Atria Mall, specifically inside SaSa, just only about my favorite spot in that mall. As I was checking beauty products, just browsing around, a very kind saleslady asked me what I needed. I was actually feeling problematic about my lips for a couple of weeks already since they were chapping so bad. They weren’t visibly dry or wounded, but I could feel the tightness around my lip area, and it was a bit painful specially when you apply lipstick on it. I felt that all the previous lip products I’ve used were not effective on me, but surprisingly work miracles for others – like Kiehl’s lip balm!

Anyway, she accompanied me to the sale section with some normal-looking lipbalms, and I said, ” I want something more intensive.” She nodded and showed me the brand Suisse, a very good and high end Swiss beauty brand, and they had Suisse Lip Repair Complex. I pumped some product, and swiped it on my lips to test, and as I saw the pricetag at 119 sgd, I told her that I’ll let the product sit on my lips and wait for results as I walk around the mall. For a lunchtime shopping spree, I didn’t feel like splurging that much, despite the GST-free shopping promotion that day.

Singaporean Beauty: Mario Badescu Facials in ONLYaesthetics

It was a very cold, damp, rainy day in Singapore last Monday, as I could not comprehend why it was raining this time of the year. Well, it’s better than the scorching heat, right? Haha! But then, given any weather condition, I would brave anything for beauty. It was Mario Badescu Facial Day for me in ONLYaesthetics, and nothing stopped me from having my beauty pampering that day!

ONLYaesthetics is located in Holland Village, Singapore, and is the exclusive distributor of Mario Badescu products here. They also have the signature Mario Badescu facial, which is tailored according to your skin type. Me and my beauty blogging friend Renee tried it out to see what the buzz Mario Badescu is all about , why it’s being hailed as a cult favorite, and loved by Martha Stewart, Jennifer Anniston, J.Lo, and other A-list celebrities.

Beautynomics Review: Elseve Re-Nutrition Replenishing Mask

For chemically treated hair like mine, even if I make the effort to use hair masques everyday to keep my hair damage-free, it’s always still a struggle, as my hair still gets dry no matter what. So when I chanced upon the new product of L’Oreal Elseve called Elseve Re-Nutrition, I immediately grabbed a pot of masque from SaSa Wisma branch to try it out for myself.

They say that during ancient times, Cleopatra used royal jelly to keep her hair beautiful and in top shape. Royal jelly is a good ingredient to consider as I have seen this ingredient present in anti-aging, and anti-stress food supplements, as they give nutrition, regenerate living cells, and improve energy levels. It is also used by alternative medicine to heal and restore health, dubbing it “the food of the emperors” and “nature’s superfood.” The L’Oreal Elseve Re-Nutrition line is for those who have dry or dried out hair, that seeks to restore the hair in good shape again.

A Hello Kitty Photoshoot

…I told you I really really love Hello Kitty, right?

See, I made a photoshoot in celebration of my new MAC Hello Kitty loot!

All colors are from the MAC Hello Kitty collection. The colors are vibrant, fresh, and youthful.

My model is 17-year old Lynette Chua, my classmate from makeup school. Such a beautiful, sweet girl, that will break many hearts one day. The shoot was held in Chinese Gardens, Singapore. It was a rainy day, thankfully, the pictures turned out fine !

My Ultimate MAC Hello Kitty Fix in Singapore!

My hairstyling class bag, with my Hello Kitty shopping bag. Two bags I carried yesterday.

Yesterday was one of the most emotionally unstable days of my life.

I’ve been a bit down because my flatmates are all in Manila, so that leaves me home alone, but my classmates from makeup school made my day, with a not-so-boring, and interesting hairstyling class today.

But then, the highlight of my day was right after school as I dragged my classmate Bernadette to Vivo City, for today was the official launch of the MAC Hello Kitty Collection in Singapore! I wasn’t able to take pictures on-site, but it’s a huge, huge display of Hello Kitty outside Tang’s Vivo, with makeovers, and lots of displays of the MAC Hello Kitty Collection! I almost cried when the MAC makeup artist told me that the Hello Kitty doll was sold out this morning all over Singapore, but then, miraculously, as a sign from heaven that I’ve been a good girl, another makeup artist approached the makeup artist I was dealing with and told me that they had one doll left. Sold! Hahahaha!

My absolutely adorable MAC Hello Kitty Plush Doll, mirrored key clip, mirror, and brush set, and oh, that beautiful false eyelash set!

Anyway, I’m too exhausted, as I was so drained with happiness, and well, my credit card a bit “scratched” today, but then I am a huge Hello Kitty fan ever since, so I just took this one big luxurious splurge this weekend – and hey, I never spluged for any MAC collection ever, right? Just this once, just this once! ( I am sounding like Becky Bloomwood from Confessions of a Shopaholic, eh? ) Anyway, shown above, are the accessories that I’ve bought. They’re all wonderful!

It’s Dreamtime With Earth Therapeutics!

Just tell me, what are dreams made of?

At the end of every exhausting day, may it be from school, work, or play, I think everyone’s wish is to have a blissful sleep to prepare themselves for another bright, and happy day. Sleep is considered a luxury nowadays, as some people don’t get enough sleep, can’t sleep, or can’t sleep well.

I consider my bed as my ultimate favorite spot on earth. It’s where I rest my body, mind, and soul, as I say goodbye to every good or bad day, recharging, looking forward to another day. It is where I surrender and close my eyes. It is my sanctuary, and my happy place. During rainy days, I’d love to stay in bed all day and just be all comfortable and lazy.

While I was packing for my Singapore stay a few months ago, I was getting worried because I, for sure, will be missing my bed, and will be sleeping somewhere foreign , not being sure if I will be comfortable or not. I remember way before, whenever I sleep in someone else’s house, I just could not sleep comfortably as it were not my bed.

While preparing for my Singapore stay, I got myself products that would help me sleep. Being a huge, huge fan of Earth Therapeutics that smelled heavenly, and definitely helped me de-stress, I got myself two products – Elixir of Dreams Pillow Mist, and Dream Zone Comfort Cream.

I’ve Got The MAC Hello Kitty Fever!

In all the collections of MAC Cosmetics, I think MAC Hello Kitty is one collection that I’m determined to collect, given that I have unlimited resources and that includes cash! Haha! For now, I have these MAC Hello Kitty babies, and I am anticipating March 6, for MAC Cosmetics Vivo City will be having the MAC Hello Kitty Collection for sale on that date. They have displayed the collection last weekend, and I almost fainted when I saw the adorable stuffed toy that I’m determined to get, for sure!

Anyway, here’s what I have so far :

I’d be totally honest with you to tell you that the first thing that got me is the packaging. Black packaging with the very very cute black Hello Kitty! I don’t even know if I want to finish these babies, or maybe, if I get to finish using them, I would definitely be keeping the packaging. They’re just so beautiful!
