It’s one thing to wear your face bare, and your flatmates couldn’t care much on how you look ( except if something drastic shows up ), but it’s another thing as you go out of the house, do your stuff, as the world is watching you!
Well, as soon as I landed in Singapore, yes, within a few hours , I went to the place I called home – Tang’s, in Orchard Road. I love, love the MAC Cosmetics display there the most. I remember meeting Renee there for the first time, and my goal in my self imposed vacation right now, is to check out all the beauty stops here!
My new MAC loves?
For one, MAC lipstick, in amplified formula, called Half `N Half. I was asking the makeup artist over at MAC Cosmetics for anything more nude and natural than my all time favorite MAC lipstick shade in Cosmo, and she suggested this shade. Amplified Creme formulation is already a given – this is my absolute favorite of all MAC lipstick textures because they make my lips look full, creamy, and just beautiful!
If MAC Cosmo is the universally flattering shade of very creamy pink, then Half `N Half is its peach counterpart. Nude peach. Peach, when too flat, looks awkward and pasty, but Half `N Half‘s texture is very creamy, and has a bit of a shine, so it’s so perfect in achieving natural looking lips, more full, and looking healthy! I’ve been using this everyday as I go out, or go to school, and it never fails to finish my look into something more polished, and really presentable. This has already been upgraded to an everyday staple!
As my hair is dyed into my favorite shade of light brown right now, I was seeking something lighter as my brow color, as well. I was initially going to get the Girl Boy shade, but the MAC makeup artist suggested to give my look a bit of a contrast and go for a medium shade of brown for my brows. I picked up MAC Brow Gel in Show-Off, and the shade is more of a metallic brown to me.
Normally, I would just fill in and draw my brows using my trusty angled eyeliner brush from MAC Cosmetics ( the best eyeliner/eyebrow brush, EVER ) and eyebrow powder, but during lazy days, the MAC Brow Gel really helps, in just shading my brows to its normal direction, because my brows can grow just so long as they just go down, and show me how gravity works! Hahaha! Brow gels really keep the brows in place when they’re in need of trims already, as well as shade them well.
Well, there you have it, my two MAC loves as of the moment. With the CremeSheen lipglass shades and the upcoming MAC Hello Kitty Collection, I must say I’m a bit afraid for my credit card. I think I need to hide! ( but no, that would make me really unhappy, instead! ).

Do you need lip balm to go with the Amplified Creme formula, or not anymore?

I think we should always use balm specially when our lips are dry prior to lipstick application, but in this case, the amplified creme formula, you can get away with it without applying sometimes, from my experience! It’s just soo creamy it covers some chappiness, but not everything!
