Okay, girls, as soon as I set foot in the very beautiful country of Singapore where my self-imposed vacation for this year is situated ( I finally reveal, haha! ) , I immediately contacted my beauty blogger friend, also Singapore-based Renee for us to meet there for a stroll. Last year, our meeting place when we first met was at the MAC Cosmetics counter in Tang’s Plaza, and now, our second time to meet, we agreed to just enjoy ourselves in the place where we feel most at ease and absolutely blissful – at the beauty counters, of course!
As we went in the Takashimaya Mall, Renee slowly led me to the Sephora store, and as the sight of the Sephora signage became more and more visible to my eye, I could just feel my breaths getting shorter and my eyes widening. Se-pho-ra!!!!
Anyway…no, I did not faint steps before entering the store, I actually was well, and breathing as I went in my wonderland!
To start with, I was greeted immediately by the display of Too Faced, something that I haven’t seen in Asia yet. I was also glad to see Pop Beauty in display, as well as Becca, and the whole line of Sephora cosmetics. The Sephora store was not too big – it would be considered just a small boutique around here, but it housed alot of brands, including Bare Escentuals. It was also lacking my favorite brands Urban Decay, Clarisonic, Anastasia, and more. To sum up, the displays were just a fraction of what is sold in the Sephora website, as well as the Sephora in Europe, moreso , in America. I’m hoping that one day, Sephora would carry every brand being sold in their flagship store in Asian branches. There’s just so much room for improvement!
Also, for the prices, I was told that they are almost double of the prices at the Sephora website. Well, I got myself a Sephora liquid eyeliner, that’s sold for 20sgd here, while it’s sold at $10 in the website. It’s about $14 ( usd ) here, for something sold at $10 here. Must be the taxes, but it still wasn’t double of the price. Not too good, but not too bad, either, in my opinion.
To indulge you, here are the list of brands that I have jotted as I was strolling in the Sephora store in Singapore:
Talika ( for your eyelashes! )
Bliss ( wow, spa beauty! )
Bare Escentuals ( mineral makeup in Singapore, fabulous! )
Benefit ( already existing in other malls in Singapore before )
Lancome ( already existing in other malls in Singapore before )
Sephora ( hair care, professionel brushes, and makeup ) – the professional brushes were just so few. I was a bit disappointed.
Sisley ( a brand existent already, I think )
Murad ( not very sure, but we have this in Manila )
Fredderick Fekkai ( something new, definitely! )
Too Faced ( something new, and interesting to try! )
Pop Beauty ( I love the blushes here! something new, too )
Hourglass Cosmetics ( I think a store very near the Sephora store, located in the mall also sells this )
Biotherm ( already existing in other malls in Singapore, I think )
Juice Beauty ( something new, a body care brand )
Estee Lauder ( something quite big in Singapore )
Dior ( also big in Singapore, also existing way before )
Becca ( I think it’s new in Singapore, with quite promising products )
Clarins ( already in other malls in Singapore )
Clinique ( already in other malls in Singapore, in fact, this brand is everywhere! )
Ole Henriksen ( not very sure, might be a new brand introduced to the Singaporean market )
John Masters Organics ( not very sure as well )
L’Or ( this is a Sephora exclusive, so this must be a new brand introduced here! )
and several fragrance brands
Well, that’s about my report for the new Sephora store in Singapore! I’m so happy to have found this, and I promise, that I will be back in this place to hang out , check out some products for reviews, and blog about it girls!
Take care!

Now, this is so encouraging. Ha-ha. I so wanna go there!
lucky you for having the chance to check out Sephora in Singapore!!!
I hope you’re having the time of your life there!
oh hello sephora!
Such a beautiful place.
by the way i laaahv their lipsticks. they taste and smell like grape bubble yum.
SO GLAD Juice Beauty is now sold in Singapore! It’s an authentically organic brand that really has powerful ingredients. Juice Beauty’s Green Apple Peel and Serums are used by so many celebrities in the US. Kate Hudson writes about Juice Beauty all the time! Love that it’s organic without parabens or petroleum. Of course it’s a company from California!
wow!! drool!!
Whoa! I never thought that a Sephora outlet would be so close to home! I absolutely hate it that Sephora.com doesn’t ship internationally. Sephora-only value sets on different brands are to die for! Sphie, do try Benefit’s Silky-Finish lipsticks. I got my dad to buy me one in Jing-A-Ling at Corona, CA, and the feel and color is divine! Too bad Urban Decay’s not available there. I was just ready to fly to Singapore to check out its Sephora outlet =(
We now have a place to frequent, Sophie!!!
HI! I just wanted to share with you my experience with id bare minerals. Okay well not my story but someone I know – she bought a bunch of id bare minerals in the states to bring back and try and she accidentally spilled some onto her marble counter. it left a stain and wouldn’t come off with just water or anything! she had to use some heavyduty cleaning agent to get it off! We thought that was pretty scary so we never put any on our faces. Plus, id still has bismuth oxychloride in the powder, which is a skin irritant. So just giving a heads up cos when people with sensitive skin use things with bismuth like me, my face gets really red and itchy all over. NOT pretty. If you’re into mineral makeup i suggest LA splash in sasa and watsons. they’re slowly removing bismuth so most shouldn’t have any left and the prices are much more pocket-friendly! i’ve been using it for 4 years and the results are just amazing. all their makeup is also made in the states!

Wow, you can save some serious money and just use a U.S.-based forwarding service and purchase from Sephora.com. I can’t live without Sephora so when I studied abroad, my friend told me about this company Shipito that she was using to forward her cosmetics from the states. You don’t pay too much more for the service and it definitely beats paying double. Worth a look.
i was wondering if they had urban decay??? i live in indonesia and cant get sephora here and im coming to sing on saturday.
they do!
