Looking for the perfect eye cream must be one of the hardest things to do, but definitely one of the things that one should do, because we owe ourselves some supple looking, and beautiful looking skin to be able to age gracefully! The eye area is the thinnest skinned part of the face, and the first to show signs of aging. It’s a pressing issue as one progresses in his or her 20′s to keep the eye are as youthful as ever.

Another eye cream product that I decided to roadtest is the L’Oreal Derma Genesis Eye Contour Cream. The packaging is too cute, it looks like a time capsule! Anyway, it has my favorite ingredient, hyaluronic acid, that aids in anti aging as it retains moisture on the skin. Very good!

I first noticed the consistency of the product’s midway between creamy and watery, like some sort of a very light lotion with a very light feel. It looks like it has reflective properties as the product’s shade looks iridiscent white, so it would really help in an instant, as you apply, for your undereyes to brighten up immediately with that.

To start with, I just realized that my undereyes are hollow. They’re the opposite of puffy eyes, and as soon as two or three uses, I got alarmed as my undereyes started to seem to have more “meat” on the undereyes. I panicked, but later on realized that when I stopped using Dermo Genesis , my eyes went back into its hollow state, which look really stressed. So, I told myself, I’m using this everyday to keep my eyes looking bright, and healthy!

I would conclude that this is a very good eye cream for those who want to start using eye creams as an effort to preserve their beautiful eyes ( remember, the eyes are the window to one’s soul! Keep them pretty! ), also good for every skin type since the consistency feels very light and does not feel heavy at all, and I also have a few beauty blogger friends who claim that this depuffed their undereyes as well , an opposite condition of mine. For the price of around 750 pesos, this is already a very affordable eyecream that can be used for everydays! Morning, and night, that is, for best results!

Hmhm, do you know any good eye cream/s out there that specifically target dark undereye circles? (That isn’t StriVectin. Haha. That one is 7k for a small tube. Eh)

    Thanks!

Hmm…nice article, glad it seemed to be working for you. I’ve used the other products in this range and it damaged my skin really badly- I think it must be very strong. I would use with caution.

If anyone wants to know, the top layer of skin on my chin cracked painfilly (looked like the bottom of a dried up riverbed). I had just started a new job and it was so painful and unsightly. Has anyone else had anything like it?

I’ve not gone back- I won’t take that risk.

I’ve read from a blog of ricebunny that she reco the ProLighten product for dark under eye and puffiness. :) It’s available at Walgreens.

Hmmmm i’m also on the quest for the best eye cream! As I’ve read a lot of articles and blogposts about how expensive doesn’t always mean more effective, I decided to start with the cheapest and work my way up the price ladder, heheheh… so I started with Pond’s. It worked well for a lot of my friends but unfortunately my case is a bit more severe. I still haven’t found one that helps me with the fine lines and the darkness and am looking forward to finishing my tube of Nivea’s Q10 so I can move on to the next one. It plumped up my hollow eyebags too, but the darkness and fine lines are still there. I wonder if L’Oreal will do the trick.. It’s next on my list :-)

Emily : This is definitely worth a try! :) I think it all boils down on how you apply it religiously. :)

Louisa :Sorry about what happened to your skin! I’ve only tried the eye cream, and I dont have any plans on using the products for the face since my skin is very acne prone. I’ve had three people try this eye cream, and so far, no negative reactions.

Gn : I dont think there has been an eyecream that has proven to effectively rid of the dark undereye circles, but there are light reflecting ones like this that help your undereyes be instantly brighter while targetting the anti-aging concerns for the skin.
