Yay!!!

Dany says I’m number 85!

Okay, enough of the makeup foreplay. Ready for some reallll eye candy?

Let’s start with Palette # 1. Palette #1 consists of “blushes” as Make Up For Ever calls it, and they’re bold, and bright colors!

these are such cheerful colors!

Some close-ups of Palette # 1 :

and I can’t miss out the swatches for them, of course!

veryyy pigmented!

Thoughts on Palette # 1 : I love the colors as they are very bright and cheerful! They remind me of Ben Nye colors, but this palette has more colors, and I am totally digging the bright blue over there. They’re great for avant garde makeup ( the cheerful version, of course ), and I’m glad to see an orange shade there that I’d be challenged to use in the months to come!

Moving on, we have Palette # 2. Palette # 2 is composed of diamond shadows. Vavavoom!

Swatches :

Thoughts on Palette # 2 : Let me just say that from the bunch, Palette # 2′s my favorite! I did not expect to like this since I’m not very fond of shimmer. But the colors, when applied on the lids, are just too beautiful to ignore. I thought they were going to be a pain application-wise, but the color payoff is just dazzling! Very, very pigmented! I am particularly very fond of the aqua blue shade there, as well as the apple green one. And the emerald green on the further right. ( err I meant I like ALL of them. Haha! )

On to the last palette, Palette # 3! Palette # 3 consists of neutral shades.

Some close-ups,

Swatches,

Thoughts on Palette #3. Palette #3 is a very neutral palette, alright. It has cream, grays, black, gold, and browns. I was slightly disappointed because I was expecting more of a matte, or at least satin palette, and this palette only has around four of that (of ten shades). But it’s alright, it just means that my search for the holy grail bridal eye makeup palette ( my dream come true ) is far from over. But the shades here are really lovely – I am looking at the gray, which is my favorite shade of the season. I’ve been wearing sparkly gray eye makeup lately!

For my final thoughts on this palette, I think that this is well worth the pricetag ($390) , since one eyeshadow, when bought individually, costs $18. The eyeshadow pan’s really big, so it’d be a long time before you run out of one color here! As for application technique for Make Up For Ever eyeshadows, I’ve discovered that you just can’t get away by swiping this on your lids carelessly. Sometimes, when I’m lazy, I just whip up my blending brush and lightly blend eyeshadow on my lid, but this one needs an applicator brush. The technique is to pat, pat, pat the eyeshadow as you want to build up more color on your lid, and blend after. Blend lightly, with feather strokes, rather! Make Up For Ever eyeshadows are very, very pigmented, but you just can’t swipe them carelessly as product might get scattered or fall off the lids easily. The color payoff’s d-a-z-z-l-i-n-g, and no creasing, and fading after a long, long day ( with the help of my Urban Decay Primer Potion ! )

Well, how do you like my new treasure?
