I have to admit that my favorite kind of makeup is satiny matte in texture, as I am very fond of neutrals, and natural looks. But with the holiday season kicking in, there’s no stopping me from shining! With sparkly makeup, that is!

Sparkly, ethereal, glowy, and angelic makeup is very much in for the holidays, so an added dose of shimmer or glitter to the makeup is definitely excusable, and even looks very very festive, fun, and not over the top – for the season, that is! Also, the weather is cold, and it’s not too uncomfortable wearing makeup, so tis the season to be experimental and makeup-happy! After all, there are so much parties instore that we can sport different looks, as we please!

Here are some loots I have from Artdeco that are just …fulla fulla sparkle that I would surely be using for this brrrr, festive, lovely Christmas season!

The Artdeco Glam Stars Highlighter Powder ( above ) is composed of three shimmery colors, that can be used as eyeshadows, highlighters, or face colors. To be used as eyeshadow, the shimmery white, on top, makes an excellent brow highlighter, as well as the shimmery yellow-gold in the middle, that can also pass as lid color. The one below can be a nice lid color for deeper skin tones, but it can also pass off as a subtle bronzer for those who are having paler complexions this holidays ( just.like.me! ) Use the shimmery yellow-gold or white ( or sweep both , or all of them ) on areas that you’d like to highlight such as the undereyes, temples, forehead, and lip area, and you’re all set! This trio is shimmery alright, but it gives such a gorgeous glow that I can’t pass this up. This will definitely be on my vanity table this month, and next month!

Another place to put shimmer on, is the lips. Artdeco Glam Stars Lipgloss in #6 is a gorgeous, gorgeous shimmery shade of universal pink. (Pink that’s halfway to medium pink, I guess?). It’s shimmery alright, but the shimmer is so fine that it just makes the lips ultra glossy and luscious-looking! Did I mention that it smells, and tastes like grape gummy? It smells so yummy that I’m so tempted to lick my lips and taste it! Seriously ( coz grape gummy’s bout my favorite gummy flavor! ). It goes on sheer, so you’d be needing a lipstick as a base, and the lipgloss to amp the shade up.

Here’s me ( first time! ) wearing a really thin layer of MAC Lipstick in Cosmo ( just about my favorite lipstick ever ) with Glam Stars Lipgloss in #6 to amp it up. I’m so ready to partay!

Last but not the least, where else to put shimmer? Well, how about eyelining with glitter? Oh, definitely. This would make the eyes really, really pretty. I’ve seen stars use glittery eyeliners onscreen, and they just look so good! I used to just tightline my eyes in brown, or black, but now, I can try to get some sparkle in my eyes, by using a glittery black eyeliner. Artdeco’s Glam Stars Liquid Eyeliner, when swiped, looks more watery and less black than normal black liquid eyeliners, but that’s because of the glitter component. It doesn’t smudge, and just fades off from its color, and this can be worn on top of MAC Fluidlines or your favorite, and reliable eyeliner. The Glam Stars Liquid Eyeliner would be a perfect accent to be worn on top of your eyeliner. Should be totally sexy!

Overall, ooh, I’m getting excited for the parties to come. I’m sporting sparkly looks, that’s for sure! Well, I am going to attend this really cool concert this weekend! I think I’m going to start using my shimmery/glittery makeup starting Sunday!

Any makeup ideas for the holidays, my lovelies?

Happy weekend to everyone!
