Nailwatch : China Glaze Plum Perfect Shades

China Glaze is one of my top three favorite nail polish brands. It dries quickly, the staying power is superb ( of course, not discounting the fact for the need for a good basecoat and top coat! ), and best of all, it’s very affordable! Celebrity China Glaze lovers include Rihanna, Beyonce, and Eva Longoria, amongst many ( I’m shallow like that. haha! ) The shade selections are just awesome, and since it’s cold weather season, let’s let our pretty pointers be adorned with dark shades to “warm them up.”

For those who are too shy to use shocking reds, or bold blacks, purple or plum shades are a good way to start to getting accustomed with dark shaded nail polish!

Allow me to run through six of the most popular purple shades of China Glaze to date, Continue reading

L’Oreal’s Color of Hope Makeup Collection

Mauve. I love it. I’m not the bold-colour lover in the cosmetics department, and I’m just so fond of universally flattering shades like a nice Cosmo lipstick from MAC, or Orgasm by NARS. L’Oreal, offering a set full of Mauve-colored makeup, is just great, because I work well with the shade ( and so would everyone, for sure! )

A Color of Hope, A Lighter Shade of Hope, and A Deeper Shade of Hope are three shades of the Color Riche lipsticks, and for every purchase, $2 goes to the Ovarian Cancer Research Fund (OCRF).

L’Oréal Paris will be offering the Color of Hope Cosmetics Bag, which includes key products from the Color of Hope Makeup Collection. With every purchase of the Color of Hope Cosmetics Bag, L’Oréal Paris will donate $5.00 to the Ovarian Cancer Research Fund (OCRF). This universally flattering collection is yours only for $25.00 (plus shipping) at L’Oréal Paris retail stores, or at 1-888-270-7743, while supplies last.

Kerastase Friends and Family Sale!

Here I am plastering in my entry, my favorite Kerastase product of all time – the Kerastase Oleo Relax Masque. I swear, you apply this on your damp hair after shampooing, leave it on for say 5 minutes, and you get the shock of your life as your hair feels oh so slippery when you rinse it and get glorious, no-frizz, silky hair all week long! I’ve been using this since college and imagine how hard I saved during college to maintain this hair regimen, that’s just so worth it ( still no regrets, until now! )

For my friends who are into online shopping, Kerastase is having an exclusive treat, a Kerastase Friends and Family Sale!

We Have A Baby Quasar Contest Winner

Hallow everyone! Let me give you some good news for the day – we have a Baby Quasar winner!

First of all, thank you so much for the support, by joining my Baby Quasar Contest last month. I’ve read all your comments, and I must really agree that at-home D-I-Y procedures can save us trips to the dermatologist just when we’re too busy, and beauty gadgets like these, although we are in the baby stage ( since we’re in the early part of these products slowly being absorbed in the market and accepted by everyone as normal things in life ), I see these beauty gadgets promising. Anti-aging at home is really a treat, and I’m glad they have Baby Quasar right now.

I loved all your submissions, and I had Alexof Baby Quasar Light Technology to pick out our special winner. So, drumroll please!

Rihanna in Manila, a Beautynomics Report

Last night was one of those surreal moments in my life wherein I was able to do something that I never did , and never thought I’d do, in my entire life. I’m a girl who loves comfort, and standing for four+ hours, in a sea of 70,000 people, in a very hot place is not my cup of tea, but I did it anyway for the love of Chris Brown and Rihanna! Just charge it to experience that I was able to do something wild in my younger years ! Haha!

Chris Brown was the one who performed first, and boy, oh boy, he was an excellent dancer! Aside from singing, he also showed his dance moves, including dancing to the tune of Michael Jackson’s “Thriller”. Very very sexy. My God. Haha.

Anyway, my purpose in writing this entry is how impressed I am with Rihanna. I’ve never been a huge fan of Rihanna, I must admit I went there mainly for Chris Brown ( since I LOVE his songs! Such a disappointment that he didn’t sing Superhuman ), but then, Rihanna was such a great performer that I loved her performance better than Chris Brown with her super fantastic vocals, super dance moves, attitude on stage ( rar! ) and…HER MAKEUP!!!!

Bond Girl Olga Kurylenko for Kenzo Amour le Perfum

I was able to watch Quantum of Solace last weekend, and although I felt that Casino Royale was way, way better, since it was more exciting, Quantum of Solace was sort of a transition and a continuation of Casino Royale as what happened to James Bond after the demise of the love of his life, Vesper Lynd. Okay, I’m blabbering. But I cannot deny that the new Bond Girl, Camille, played by Olga Kurylenko, is definitely eye candy! She’s got the most perfect facial structure that I’ve ever seen – her cheekbones are high, the camera loves her – the contour makeup done on her reflects perfectly onscreen, and she has the most perfect and seductive lips that I’ve ever seen! She reminds me of a young Catherine Zeta Jones.

Now, she’s endorser for Kenzo’s new fragrance, to be available during the holidays, Kenzo Amour le Parfum.

Sparkling Holiday Makeup Is In!

I have to admit that my favorite kind of makeup is satiny matte in texture, as I am very fond of neutrals, and natural looks. But with the holiday season kicking in, there’s no stopping me from shining! With sparkly makeup, that is!

Sparkly, ethereal, glowy, and angelic makeup is very much in for the holidays, so an added dose of shimmer or glitter to the makeup is definitely excusable, and even looks very very festive, fun, and not over the top – for the season, that is! Also, the weather is cold, and it’s not too uncomfortable wearing makeup, so tis the season to be experimental and makeup-happy! After all, there are so much parties instore that we can sport different looks, as we please!

Here are some loots I have from Artdeco that are just …fulla fulla sparkle that I would surely be using for this brrrr, festive, lovely Christmas season!
