The reds are finally in as MAC Cosmetics is prepared to seduce all of us with their very sultry holiday collections in red. I have my last two from my loot here, and they’re from the Little Darlings Collection.

The Little Darlings Collection can be given as a gift to friends, as a set, or if you are sort of in a budget, but still want to give stylish and nice gifts, specially if your friends are beauty/ makeup addicts, you can always divide the set, and give your friends one of each, say the mini-lipglasses or the mini-sized pigments, which if I may say, are more than enough for one already!

What I have here is the Little Darlings : 5 Coral Lipglass/Lustreglass. The shades are very warm and coral ( sort of orangey ). As for the swatches,

from l-r : Underage lipglass , Ola Mango! lipglass, Pink Grapefruit lipglass, Wonderstruck lustreglass, and Budding lustreglass

Underage seems to have won my affection because of its pale, nude ( but glossy ) pink shade which has always been my preference, while Pink Grapefruit is a very warm shade of lipglass that I’d love to wear when my makeup’s very natural, since I’m not very keen on wearing orange-y shades of gloss. Ola Mango! is a shimmery peach-coral that doesn’t have too much color, that can be worn on top of any lipglass, I think. Wonderstruck and Budding Lustreglass are two equally nice glossies which are more on the pink side. One is lighter ( Wonderstruck, ) and one is darker ( Budding. )

For some gift-giving advice on these babies, give Underage to your Kim Kardashian-vibed friend, give Pink Grapefruit to your friend who doesn’t wear alot of makeup, give Ola! Mango to your stunning morena/friend with a deeper skin tone, and give Wonderstruck or Budding Lustreglass to your friends who have enough lipsticks already! hahaha!

Next, I have the Little Darlings 5 Cool Pigments : Glitter . The shades are very pastel and they remind me of an ice princess-inspired makeup. Very cold weather makeup, very frosted, very white.

L-R : Frost, Quietly, Pinked Mauve, Teal, and Reflects Blackened Red

I did not notice that the Reflects Blackened Red was glitter, not a pigment, not until I swatched them one by one, with Urban Decay Primer Potion, as their base. Nonetheless, it is still very very beautiful! Something that I’d add on top of my smoky eye for that really one-of-a-kind holiday effect. Yes, glitters are legal for the holidays! Hahaha! Frost is a delightful shimmery white, quietly a pastel pale purple, Pinked Mauve a medium pink ( I’m so relieved this isn’t the usual normal pale pink because it’s too common already ), and Teal is a nice pastel green, that I think I’ve seen last year already. 3 years ago, I purchased pigments, and they looked quite similar to this set, except for the Reflects Blackened Red, and the Pinked Mauve ( they had a paler pink for this ).

Gift idea? Be adventurous and give them out randomly! They’re all equally gorgeous and wearable!

Hey, so, so, don’t you think the color of the seazenn is red? *winks*

Mind if I ask how much is the PINK set for the Litte Darlings here in Manila? Cause in the US it retails at around $29.50 for each set. Thanks!
