Every MAC addict in the country is definitely awaiting the MAC Holiday Collections, and rumor has it, they’ll be on display in Manila on the second week of November. How exciting! So, how about a sneak peak?

First up, I have some of the items from the Red, She Said Collection!

For the lippies, I have Quiet, Please ( on top ), and Red, She Said ( at the bottom ) Quiet Please is indicated to have a Lustre texture, and is described as a sheer frosty pale beige. This goes in sheerly in the lips, as it would just make your lips look very sheeny, and very very neutral. It doesn’t contribute too much color on the lips, it just makes it glossy and a bit on the sheer, nude side. This would work on smoky eyes when you woul not want too much color on your lips. Red, She Said, on the other hand, is indicated as Amplified Creme, together with its sisters So Scarlet ( of the Cult of Cherry Collection ) and the cult favorite universally flattering pink, Cosmo. Red, She Said is the type of lipstick that you just can’t apply a scarce layer to “tint” your lips because it would look like a faded lip! Hahaha! Load up on the lip brush, and create one solid layer of vivacious, mid-toned blue red. This red looks very vintage, not too dead-matte-flat, it goes on creamy ( though, I’ve noticed, not as creamy as Cosmo and So Scarlet ), and finishes off just lovely.

Love Alert Dazzleglass, as described as raspberry red with red pearl, is dazzling, indeed! So much shine that you would not want to put this on your entire lip, but on areas like on the middle of both your upper and lower lips. This could not be worn alone ( in my opinion ), as it definitely sees through your lips as this is very transparent. I love that this can be worn on top of any pink lipstick to further intensify the pink, or turn it into a luscious reddish pink red, or just spice up any red lip, as well.

Enough Said, is a Beauty Powder in light bronze. Beauty powders are commonly used as complexion enhancers and bring out the youth to skin, and I just love how the pink beauty powders work on those who have fair skin tones, specially the teeners! With this shade, I think it would be applicable to those who have darker skin tones. It can also be used as a very very subtle contouring powder, perhaps for night time. It’s not that dark, but it’s not light at all. The shade strikes me as very pretty and soft.

Silverstroke, a shade of MAC Fluidline for this collection, is very very pretty. It’s a rich, metallic platinum, and I’m very very excited to double line it on top of blacktrack, or use this to line my lower lashline. It’s a very pretty and it is just such a Holiday color! Would definitely bring out some edgy, but feminine looks!
…and yes, I’ve definitely saved the best for last, Red, She Said‘s eyeshadows! Woohoo! Mineralized eyeshadow releases are just so good this year, I swear!

..and, I’m in for the blues as I have really lovely, vivid blues with me! On the left is Mineralized Eyeshadow in Persuasive, and on the right is Mineralized Eyeshadow in Inter-view.. I’m beyond speechless as I’m officially in love with these two.

First of, let me just say that the most pigmented part of the mineralized eyeshadows are at the right-most part, because they’re very dark. The texture are mostly glittery, the first and the last shade of the mineralized trio can be worn as washes, or as lid colors, but the middle color, as you try to swatch them, are very glittery and can hardly hold on to the skin, so I suggest either using them wet, or just putting them on top of other colors to amplify the glitter effect.
Persuasive will be a joy for those who love blues as it has a baby blue eyeshadow, as well as semi-dark indigo color. The baby blue can work as a pleasant wash, ice-princess like look this season, while the semi-dark indigo color that can work alone as a very sexy, smoky eye color, topping it with the white glittery middle part!
Inter-view, on the other hand, will be the absolute joy of those who are into dark, smoky eyes. Just take a look at the Deep Navy Blue, and Frosty Bronzy Brown shade on the left, and right side. They can be worn alone or together, and it would surely be some hot smoky eye ( I would know – I was overjoyed when I saw this! I’ve always wanted a very very nice navy blue smoky eye, and brown smoky eye is my default color for smoky eyes ). To add up some holiday touch, a very sexy shade of copper glitter ( in the middle of the pan ) , applied on top of individual colors, would really spice things up. Sigh, I think I’m more partial with Inter-view! Hahaha!
To sum up, don’t you just love the holidays? More reason to dress up, fix up, and just be your beautiful best! I’m very happy with my loot, specially the eyeshadows and the fluidline, and I hope this is only the start of my holiday happiness!
Tata for now!
