Aside from the “heavy” stuff that I have been using, namely Obagi Clenziderm, Glytone, and Mama Lotion, I also have some “light” skin care with me that I use when I want my skin to rest. Perhaps when I’m fresh from a diamond peeling session, or when my skin just needs something not too clinical as of the moment. The products I’ve tried lately are from Neutrogena, the brand that I’ve grown up with. I’ve used Deep Clean Facial Wash during highschool ( with that very generic packaging, with somewhat transparent dark tan fluid ) , and looking at it now, the brand’s really progressed, and even developed three new products – Neutrogena Deep Clean Energizing Foaming Cleanser, Neutrogena Deep Clean Invigorating Ultra Foam Cleanser, and Neutrogena Deep Clean Invigorating Dual Action Toner.

The Neutrogena Deep Clean Invigorating Ultra Foam Cleanser is what I’ve tried first. As I pumped product out of the bottle, it released a cleansing foam, and as I started lathering it on my face, I could feel my face getting really cool and calm. As I washed my face, the splash of minty coolness lingered. To add to that, it effectively got rid of the dirt on my face as I felt my skin to be very clean, but not overly dry or tight. I can say that this is for girls who have oily skin who would want to get rid of the feeling of oiliness, and dirt that has accumulated at the end of the day, and perhaps something to make them feel fresh during the morning – such a great wake me up, without the feeling of dryness! I absolutely love this!

The Neutrogena Deep Clean Energizing Foam Cleanser was the one I brought with me during my trip to Bangkok because of its portability and small size. When I squeezed product from the tube, it was creamy, with cleansing beads ( blue ). I was able to get the same effect – it was very cooling to the face, but I did not feel that it cleaned my face very well. My friend, on the other hand, who had dry skin, absolutely loved it and asked it from me because she was able to clean her face effectively, she felt her face squeaky clean, and yet she remarked that it did not make her skin feel dry. It was a winner on her book, so I can conclude that the Neutrogena Deep Clean Energizing Foam will be able to work great with people who have dry skin, and still want their skin to me really cleansed off the dirt from the day, without stripping their natural oils and further aggravating their dry skin condition.

The Neutrogena Invigorating Toner, on the other hand, is a really really great toner. After cleansing, one’s face is not totally 100% clean from dirt and oil, specially for those with oily skin. Using this makes my face feel really clean, and yes, it’s also very very cool to the skin, and I just absolutely love the feeling! It does not make my skin break out, it just does its job in cleaning, and cleaning, and I absolutely love it! It does not only promise to cleanse the skin thoroughly, but it promises to tighten the pores. Right now, I still see no effect, but we’ll have to see in a few more weeks!

Overall, using the Invigorating Dual Action Toner and Ultra Foam Cleanser really earned my raves as they did not make my skin break out, there were gentle to the skin, but were really, really fierce cleansers that just attack, getting rid of oil and dirt, while keeping skin in its good state! The Energizing Foaming Cleanser would be absolutely fantastic to those who are afraid to have their skin dry but still want deep cleansing.

What can I say? I’m still glad I’m a girl of today. So much good stuff.

Happy weekend my lovelies!
