Contouring is an art that I’ve fallen in love with. Creating shadows. Subdue-ing features. Chiseling. Contouring must be one of the nicest things I’ve learned from makeup school. I swear, it does magic!
With my playing around with various contouring products, I have found one true love. Yes, just one true love that my Stila Contour Set won’t even match- it’s Artdeco’s Bronzing Compact.
Why do I love Artdeco’s Bronzing Compact so much? Well, first, it’s matte. To be able to effectively hide features and create shadows, the makeup used must be matte, and not chalky. This glides in flawlessly on the face, successfully creating shadows, so foolproof that you won’t even notice it! Needless to say, the texture is absolutely divine. Just perfect.

Point number two on why I like it so much is that it has two bronzer shades in one compact. A lighter shade that can be used for more subtle and less noticed shading ( perhaps on the nose, or on the hollows of the cheeks ) for normal days or light events, and a darker shade that can give a more dramatic or defined effect on the features wished to be shaded. Just perfect, I’d bring this with me anywhere!
To sum up, if you’d like to give an illusion of thinner or less prominent forehead, temples, or shed some visual flesh off from your cheeks, or jaws, or maybe sculpt your nose ( you really don’t need surgery yknow? *wink), I highly recommend Artdeco’s Bronzing Compact. It’s perfection rolled in one compact.
It should be more perfect, if it was a contour/highlighting quad. Artdeco should make room for highlighters in this compact, too! Heehee!

Ugh. I hate you Sophie! I’m going pale right now and you have to tip this in!
Erm erm erm soooo how much is this baby again??
You might want to check their Glamour Highlighters. Their site says they have 3 shades (white, rosé and beige) but I’ve only seen two here in MNL. It’s fine and sheer plus the quantity on the pan’s reasonable (as big as the camouflage creams if my memory serves me right). I almost bought myself one because it’s so pretty but you know my face very well–I’ve got too much glow already!
I saw this! super pretty nga to!!!!!
grr my makeup bag’s going to be really full (and my wallet empty) with all the products you recommend!!! i still haven’t forgotten the nars cream blush you “made” me buy!!! ;p
Im so backlogged with my comments but I just had to answer this haha!
Phoeb : Please don’t hate me! Lol! it’s around 1,100, I think? I’ll check out the highlighters but I don’t want them too shimmery! Just glowy-matte:)
Nikki : Chie, SUPER! aylavet!
waah! bad ate sophie, eto naman ngayon!! atleast it can be purchased here unlike the urban decay liner..:p
To sum up, if you’d like to give an illusion of thinner or less prominent forehead, temples, or shed some visual flesh off from your cheeks, or jaws, or maybe sculpt your nose —> Yes Yes Yes I want all of this! Heheh… but what good is an Art Deco Bronzing Compact if I don’t have a Sophie to go along with it who actually knows how to apply it on me?? Hahaha! Sense my frustration!
I have this one too! I also like that it’s matte and refillable pa. By the way, would you say it’s comparable to MAC’s Sculpt and Shape (or is it shade)?
Candice : this is so much better than Sculpt and Shape. Sculpt and shape has some shimmer to it!
Ems : Haha! Crazy I’m sure you can do it!
Jamie : SM Makati oh
haha!
