Cold weather. Very very cold weather.

For the first time, I felt my skin dry. In dire need of hydration and moisture. I guess I can’t escape lotions for ever. It was only yesterday that I could always not opt to use lotions because I just hate the feeling of applying lotions on my skin, specially the rich ones. But looking at my skin now, I think it’s better to withstand a little cream in my skin than feeling roughly textured skin. No way. Looks like I can’t get away from lotions any longer! People do grow old. Sigh.

I was given a chance to try Skintel Hand and Body Lotion. This very minimalist packaged product is one of the products of Skintel, a consumer brand that has been on the shelves for a long time but never had advertisements to back them up. I’ve been hearing about Skintel alot, despite their absence on TV, and I have feedbacks from friends that their anti-acne treatments work. For now, this body lotion seemed very interesting to me because it was what I needed for the moment.

First of all, Skintel Hand and Body Lotion feels very light on my skin. This must be the lightest lotion that has touched my skin. It’s also not watery, and mid-way between sticky and watery. The consistency is just right that my skin does not feel uncomfortable as compared to other rich lotions that make me feel that heavy product is applied on the skin. It also dries very easily, that as I finish applying lotion on my other leg, the other leg that was previously slathered with the lotion is already dry - very fast absorbing indeed. As for the scent, I might say that it smells “youthful”, more on being a “teeny scent”. Somewhat Johnson and Johnson’s but more feminine, but still very lightly scented. Overall, I like this lotion, as it is perfect for me. This is the lightest lotion that I have ever tried and I would want to start my affinity with lotions with Skintel’s.

As for the moisturizing properties, I cannot say that it provides intense moisture, as it provided my skin with light moisture as it is just a light lotion. It’s great for everyday use for maintenance, and perfect in the mornings. Maybe at night intense moisture seekers might opt for something more “intense” and creamier, but Skintel Hand and Body Lotion would surely make you not shy away from the idea of lotions, just like my experience!
