After my good pal Phoebe’s surprise birthday party celebration ( you have to rush to her blog to stop and admire her new gorgeous look - the bangs, and the red lips! ), I only slept a few hours ( say, about three ) to join Brigitte, to do makeup for a photoshoot. After a tiring day, I was glad that Brigitte was with me, as we ate a late lunch at around 4 in the afternoon, and Shen came over to where we were getting lunch to join us, and little did I know that Nikki was also coming over to give Brigitte her nail art set!

Nail art, nail art! Right now, I’m super in love with nail polish shades, but honestly, nail art hasn’t crossed in my mind until Nikki showed me her nails, UP CLOSE. :

Someone from the heavens, perhaps a very cool angel transferred my wishes all the way to the Johnson and JohnsonLabs ( of course, I’m merely kidding! ) and look what they’ve come up with - pink grapefruit variants of three of their skin care products!

Didn’t I tell you that pink grapefruit’s just about the best-smelling fruit on earth? It is, it is, it is! *jumps in glee*

Seriously, don’t you find the above picture just awe-so-gorgeous? Because I totally love it. I see shadows, I don’t see alot of colors, it’s nudes and neutrals, but it has dimension and it’s oozing with sensual appeal! Bobbi Brown comes with a captivating collection called Shimmering Nudes Collection, and my eyes are just glued on their Shimmering Nudes Palette!

I could only be amazed on the transition of Ponds from being a mass market consumer brand and low priced, into stepping up, providing consumers with skin-targeted specialty products for anti-aging, anti-acne ( oiliness ), and whitening. Day by day, I’ve been hearing raves about Ponds products, that I could not deny that the brand was getting better and better everyday!

I heard from the Swiper that Ponds eye creams were good ( remembering how she told me that they do effectively de-puff the eyes ), I plunged in and tried Pond’s Age Miracle Dual Eye-Therapy UV Eye Cream.

I can only sigh in absolute happiness with Benefit’s Dandelion Blush. Being not much of a fan of reds, I love pink and peach blush shades the most. Pink shades look refreshing on the cheeks, berry shades give some romance and slight blush on the face, while peach shades give warmth, plus, these three shades that I like are all so feminine!

Just lately, I have been sucked into the bandwagon of Twilight lovers out there. The Twilight series is Stephanie Meyer’s four books that’s all about the love story of Isabella Swan, to vampire Edward Cullen. I find it such a mesmerizing read because I have been fascinated with vampires even from way, way back, devouring Anne Rice’s novels, Linda Lael Miller’s vampires, reading about Dracula from Elizabeth Kostovo ( The Historian, ) and now, Twilight!

Going back, I just felt the weather was growing colder as my hands start looking a little bit pale. I rushed to the salon bringing four bottles with me : Poshe’s Base Coat and Top Coat, OPI’s Tickets to Paradise ( for my pedi ) , and MAC in Illegal Purple, a nail polish shade from the Cult of Cherry Collection, for my manicure.

I must admit that I wasn’t too knowledgeable with eye makeup before I went to makeup school. Up to now, I am still an eager learner for more eye makeup techniques, and envy and admire those who are such fast learners who produce amazing output on their beauty blogs ( hello! you know who you are! )! ( even if they are needed. sheesh! haha! ) . Blending is an important part of eye makeup application to make it look natural, and look like some artsy “vanishing effect”! After all, makeup is art!

Tonight, I was able to read something interesting in my inbox, and it was celebrity stylist Britt Bardo, (whose clients include Jessica Simpson, Cameron Diaz, Jennifer Lopez and Eva Mendez) is giving away secret styling tips to us, and I just never realized that teeth whitening is actually a styling option!

Well, makes sense because the smile is considered one’s secret weapon, and I wholeheartedly agree! I’ve been considering that option for the longest time, but I just don’t know where to start. I’ve been obsessed about my hair, my face, but I’ve never really gotten to get past all of those problems ( especially my skin ) to get into teeth whitening. Britt Bardo is recommending Aqua Fresh White Trays Revive, that promises whiter teeth in two days. Hmm, that’s quite a challenge that I might be able to take up on!
