This beauty blog started because of recommendations. My friends would ask me what products they should buy for this and that. I loved doing it so much that I, well, started a beauty blog! ( the perfect excuse just to stay inside the beauty section of the mall, and just stare at those beautiful things ). I was thinking, everyone loves the weekends, specially me, as they are free to go out, play, and most importantly, SHOP! So, as a treat to my readers, I shall be writing a Friday special called Beautynomics Weekend Story. Weekend stories would include product recommendations, reader questions ( please do send them in! ), some random rants and raves, and sneak previews of what products are going to be reviewed in Beautynomics in the coming days.
To start off, I’d like to share my story for the weekend, with Bottles Half Full. These are products that I love, love, love and I use all the time that they are half-full already, and ready for repurchasing soon!

My MAC Charged Water is halfway done. Mega thanks to Brigitte for recommending this to me and an untimely out-of-stock status of MAC Fix+ that I was able to snag this beauty. The aroma is just sooo intoxicating that sends me to total relaxation, and it really helps my oily skin not look so oily. If they say this is just expensive water, then this is one kind of water that I’d be willing to repurchase because it helps my skin look good, and most importantly, I feel good when I spritz this on my face!

Tiger Balm, on the other hand, is the reason why I’m not in pain right now. Muscle pain for a computer and internet addict is not rare, and sadly, I’m one of those. My tensed shoulders are further relieved with the new formula - Tiger Balm Neck and Shoulder Rub. The original formula of Tiger Balm is in balm form that makes my back break out, and good thing, the new formula is water-based and does not smell too conventional-Chinese-medicine anymore. When my friend came back from Singapore, she got me about 5 of these. When I went there, I got another four. Yes, I stock up on these. They’re simply heaven-sent. I know, I can’t live without this. I just can’t.

As for my newfound, but still subtle eye-makeup adventures ( which I will grab some courage to post as soon as I get to figure out how to use my camera settings to achieve it?! ), Lancome Effacil, I must say, is my favorite eye makeup remover of all time. It’s very very light, and just removes eye makeup in a breeze ! Makeup removers are a MUST specially when removing makeup just in time for bed. Eye makeup removers are also great for you don’t need too much pressure to remove eye makeup ( like tug, or swipe too much , since the eye area is ULTRA delicate! ), but cleansing oils, on the other hand, can also do that eye-makeup removing and facial makeup-removing. If you’re not oil-phobic, Skin Hour’s Cleansing Oil is a dream when it comes to removing makeup, not to mention affordable as well! I told myself that I’m not an oil person, but this cleanse-off oil is pretty decent and affordable, and removes makeup effectively! ( Although I wash my face with a gel cleanser still, after ).

Even if I’m not a lotion fan, I feel compelled to bring with me a trusty hand cream all the time, because I feel that my hands are getting dry lately. I love, love, Elizabeth Arden’s 8-Hour Intensive Hand Cream because it feels silky and luxurious, though not too thick ( just the way I want it! ). It’s also the best-smelling hand cream on earth, with its slightly medicinal scent that is just my thing!

Speaking of hands, the weather is getting colder and I’m not “roughing it” lately anymore - which means, it’s time for some long nails! Will I pull it off? Will I actually grow my nails long after such a long hiatus ( when makeup school abused my nails and compelled me to cut them off )? We’ll see! But I’m just dying, dying to use this beautiful Zoya shade that I have! It’s called Irene. It’s calling me, and I promise, that this will be the first color that I’d be wearing the moment my nails grow polish-worthy.
Haha, I talk alot, don’t I? Hahaha! Well, that’s about my random raves this weekend! I’m so excited to spend the weekend to watch Dark Knight with friends ( whoopee! ), and maybe do shopping ( well, I hope not! haha! ). As for next week’s entries, I’ll give you a hint:

I love pinks. Haha!
Happy weekend, everyone!

I really have to try Skin Hour’s cleansing oil soon. Thanks for the reco, Sophie! Btw, the pink variant of Elseve is a bit more difficult to find compared to the red one (which I totally hate because it made my hair so dry) and the yellow one. Can’t wait for your review on the pinks.
I have tha Elseve pink shampoo one. It’s okay for me but I should’ve gotten the other variant (dark yellow, the one for smooth, no-frizz hair) instead.
I am wearing zoya’s Irene right now on my toes. Love the color. Any news on our other polish order?
