I so agree with that. When in doubt, buy it. When you see something that you want in a foreign land, and the deal’s pretty good, don’t think twice anymore because chances are , it’ll take some time before you go back there! So, I went shopping!
During my stay there, the first thing I hunted for are well, beauty products. I was amazed on how much beauty brands are there, and well, let me show you my loot! This is to prove to all my friends who are teasing me that I hoarded cosmetics there that IT IS NOT TRUE! hahaha!

Who would have known that the Nordstrom exclusive Colour Forms would be available in Singapore? I wasted no time and picked up an Advanced Brush Set for me ( ME! personal use! all my full sized handles are for my models and clients, so it’s time for more ME! hehe! ) over at Isetann’s ( twas out of stock at Tang’s ) . It’s quite expensive when bought here as compared to the US ( sad to say ), but I really wanted it, so I got it! I also got me an Expensive Pink eyeshadow from the Neo Sci-fi Collection, one is Shen’s, a Lightful Foundation for shoots ( not for me! ), a Blotting Powder, a Brow Gel in Girl Boy, a small MAC 228 brush for depositing color on the crease area, and a MAC Full Coverage Foundation for Jheng, which she was eternally lemming for ever since she saw our teacher RB Chanco use it for a photoshoot. Well, that’s about it, at least for the MAC beauty loot!

Now, my non-MAC beauty loot includes these babies. One noteworthy purchase I made was the Stila Contouring Trio. I’ve endlessly glued my eyes on a video on how to use it on Youtube for weeks, and I felt that I just had to have it. It’s very very pretty, and contouring and highlighting happens to be my favorite makeup activity! I also got me eyeshadows from Silky Makeup - the eyeshadows shades are bright and fun and don’t cost much ( around 6-7 sgd, around 200+ php, or 4-5 usd for a duo ) , and last but not the least, I caved in and bought Bourjois Ombre Stretch Eyeshadows in four shades, and got them 20% off the retail price! ( that’s around 21 sgd less 20%, around 571 php or 12 usd? ). I think I’m going to love this Bourjois item that I bought because it “stretches” into gradient as you blend it further. Perfect for smoky eyes.
As I claimed my GST refund at the airport, ( a 7% refund you get at the airport when you accumulate a single receipt purchase of 300 sgd in a day ), I just did not stop and bought a Clinique lipgloss set worth 48 sgd ( around 1600 php ? 35 usd ), which is such a great deal as I would have ten shades for that price! ( I could not take my mind off this item ever since Sasha let me use hers! ) Just too late that I saw an Estee Lauder Pleasures mini-set with all the versions of Pleasures ( 4 mini bottles ) for around the same price - but my money’s already wiped out!
See now, I didn’t really buy alot! But I’m so so happy with my purchases! Individual reviews of some of my buys to be up very very soon!
…and oh wait, I know this is totally unrelated, but I promise this is funny. I was able to buy really reasonably priced shoes from Charles and Keith. They’re real beauties, aren’t they? ( clue : the Mary Janes are so cheap! 30 sgd only! around 20 Usd! )

I can strut around town wearing these lovely high heeled sandals and shoes…
…as soon as my ankles which are sprained from too much walking and shopping heal. Hahahaha!
Tata!

Shen : Yihee! I tried it and it’s nice!
Nikki : Silky makeup has real potential, but it has some tough competition as I just acquired a Ben Nye palette! I’ll be comparing both! I think I’m in love with Stila! The prices are steep but they are just buy-worthy!
Jayvee : Why!!
Jheng : wooooohoooo mac full coverage!
Great loot Achi Soph! I love Clinique’s lip gloss too! Di siya super sticky unlike other brands. Tuwang tuwa ako that my friend gave me a sample of it. I recently bought one sa Rustan’s.
The shoes are lovely! Nako, sana one day masanay rin akong magheels nang ganyan kataas. Hahahah! So far mga 2 inches palang kaya ko. =))

Jenn : It’s so cheap over at Duty Free. Exag, ask friends to buy it for you there! Well, I haven’t worn them in fairness! I just like having them around and reserving them for carpeted-venue events!
Nikki : From the U.S., this e-shop that Jheng told me about. I’ll get back at ya with the link, I lost it!
