*Takes a deep breath* well, here it is - what I’ve got for my birthday. Last year, on impulse, I got myself a Macbook and a DSLR Camera for my birthday ( of course, my dad paid for my Macbook and I paid for my camera haha! ). This year, the greatest birthday gift I gave myself was enrolling myself in makeup class - I will never regret this decision I made because I know in my heart that I love, love makeup, and of course, my birthday would not be complete without a beauty loot. A shameful one, actually. Hahaha!
This pre-birthday loot was purchased right after the MAC Bridal Makeup Workshop. I got myself a DUO Surgical Adhesive from the MAC Counter as we were going to be taught on how to apply false eyelashes the day after, Studiolights in Ideal Pink, Sand, ( and the darkest one the next day ) for my creme highlighting and contouring for my finals ( I’ve always wanted to do that ! ), a MAC Prep and Prime for the Eyes for my models, a Makeup For Ever Concealer Palette since I’ve been borrowing Jheng’s Cinema Secrets Concealer Palette at class for the longest time already, and two babies that flew in just in time for my birthday,
MAC Eyeshadow in Submarine from the Naughty Nauticals Collection and MAC Eyeshadow in Femme Fi from the Neo Sci Fi Collection. Submarine makes a great smoky eye color and Femme Fi is a Ricepaper dupe, such a pretty highlighter!
Phoebe, a week ago, also got me something wonderful - an Artdeco Eyeshadow Baser that has been out of stock for a long time already! It’s just like the MAC Prep and Prime!
Fran also got me two Alba lipglosses that I’m so excited to try! They’re organic! I get to have them in Passion Fruit Nectar and Pineapple Quench flavor! Yum!!!!
Well, the loot I was talking about was a pre-birthday loot. NOW. My birthday loot? Heeheehee.
On my birthday, I was able to buy two brushes on a discounted price from someone who gets MAC stuff from abroad. I got my MAC 227 large shader brush and 266 angled liner brush for a discounted price so I was able to get one more at the MAC Glorietta Store - a MAC 252 that is simply immaculate in applying paintpots, and emollient-based products. Yes, I am a brush addict. In no time, I hope to be able to collect all MAC brushes. Give me five years. Or maybe ten. Hahaha!
I also have my new MAC eyeshadows - and if you have noticed, they’re in bridal colors! I’ve just taken a fancy on beautiful pastels. I’d love to work with brides in the near future!

My friends knew my recent favorite things to get lately, so very good friend C, after the MAC Bridal Workshop in Shang asked me what I wanted. Good thing there was a sale on selected items there if you had a Citibank card, and I told her I wanted a Slimshine lipstick in Ultra Elegant. It’s a perfect glossy peach shade that I’m quite excited to wear!
Another funny story is that, one of my bestbuds K was asking me via YM days ago what MAC item I’d love to have aside from brushes, so imagine my surprise when I saw her approaching the MAC Glorietta counter last Saturday, as she told me she was buying my gift. I said, “MAC Dipdown Fluidline, please!” I’m telling you, beauty addicts should have a gift registry or something for their birthdays!
and the Goddess lipstick that I scored over at the MAC Counter was a freebie for my purchases. Heehee.
Well was that the end? Apparently not. What capped my night was very good pal J flew in from Singapore, and gave me this absolutely unforgettable loot!

Boy, oh boy! Am I a happy happy happy beauty addict! This is the best birthday I’ve ever had! Woot!
