I felt like I was hit by a stone when an email from one of Clarins’ PR representatives, saying that they have recreated Michelle Trachtenberg’s “sultry summer look.”
MICHELLE TRACHTENBERG! The most controversial guest star in Gossip Girl that wreaked havoc on Serena’s life, but what kept me starting at Georgina for the whole time being is - HER ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL EYE MAKEUP. Gosh her eyes are just the best, and she looks really beautiful with smoky eyes. And now, Nick Barose , celebrity makeup artist for Clarins, has created Michelle’s summer look. I haven’t had access to pictures yet, but I am posting the summer collection of Clarins which were used to create that perfect summer look.
The idea was “warming up” the face without totally tanning it, but using warm, bronze tones on the eyes. Even just the eyes can scream summer!
Here are some tips from Clarins Celebrity Makeup Artist Nick Barose on how he did Michelle Trachtenberg’s summer look,
Bronzed Goddess Skin
Mix in a drop of Clarins Instant Light Complexion Perfector to your liquid foundation to add subtle radiance to the skin. Adding a slight sheen to the skin makes fair skin look healthier. Finish by setting it with a translucent loose powder.
Eyes that Entice
Line along your upper lashes using a dark chocolate brown liquid liner. Next, apply and smudge Clarins Waterproof Eye Liner Pencil in Bronze over the first color and also use it to line inner rims of the eyes. With a small eye shadow brush, apply Clarins Soft Cream Eye Colour in 06 from the lash line up to the crease of the eyelid. Use the extra shadow on your brush to lightly smudge along the lower lash line. Curl lashes and add a coat of Clarins Wonder Waterproof Mascara in Wonder Black.
Sculpted Cheeks
Blend Clarins Sun Blush in Copper Sun on the apples of your cheeks. You can add an extra glow by dabbing a rose-colored blush on top. Try Clarins Compact Blush in Rose.
Kissable Pout
Line and fill in lips with Clarins Lip Colour Pencil in Nude. Apply pinkish/nude tone lipstick over the entire mouth. Blot then add an extra coat so lips look polished using Clarins Joli Rouge in Apricot Sugar.
