The Beautynomist Visits Sonya’s Garden!

Last Saturday, my friends and I went on a roadtrip to Tagaytay to do some bonding and relax a little bit from work. After a hearty late lunch ( almost dinner ) at our favorite resto, Buon Giorno, we headed for Sonya’s Garden as bestbud J tells me that they have really good, but affordable massage services there.

It was a rainy, rainy Saturday and I was a bit sad that I could not take pictures because of the weather - gardens all wet, and greens looking all gloomy as night time started to fall. This sign greeted us, as we walked further,

and there was a sign “Sonya’s Sensuous Massage” as we were getting near the spa. It was encouraged to keep quiet and not be too rowdy on the area because it is a place of relaxation.

Summer Showers Review : The Body Shop Moringa Bath Gel

Two words : SUPER HOT.

The heat has been just simply impossible lately. And I mean it! It’s been just unable to bear, and it’s humid, and it’s sticky! See, even I am getting cranky, just bleeeaaaaym et on the heat! Haha!

The shower in the bathroom just seems to be so appealing everytime I wake up, and everytime I come home from work. I think I’d like to live there, thank you very much!

Anyway, another great body wash that I’ve tried lately is the freebie I got from the Lipton’s Feel Good Event, which is a bottle of The Body Shop Moringa Bath Gel.

For some information about “moringa,”

First used in Ayurvedic medicine some 4,000 years ago, moringa seed oil comes from the moringa tree which is also known as the ‘miracle tree’ due to its wide variety of beneficial uses.

Moringa seed oil was highly treasured by the ancient Roman, Greek and Egyptian civilisations for its use in protecting skin and making perfume. The oil contains high levels of oleic acid, a fatty acid that helps to restore the skin’s moisture levels, helping to protect against drying, keeping skin feeling soft and smooth.

Who Wants Some “Eye Candy?”

This kind of eye candy, that is.

I just have to say this - I love, love eye makeup. Eyeliner’s just my favorite eye makeup cosmetic because I do it so well without shake, but my biggest frustration is eye makeup itself - the lid part, that is. I love rainbow-ey shades, smouldering smoky eyes, neutral looks, I love them all! But I’m quite slow in the learning process of it, but I really am interested to learn, and learn on how to perfect eye makeup looks because I believe that eye makeup can truly transform someone’s aura - because the eyes are just the windows to one’s soul.

For spring and summer, it’s all cheerful eye makeup that I’ve been looking at. Nice hues of blues, greens, yellows, and even pink! Hence, legendary makeup artist Linda Mason’s new book, Eye Candy: 55 Easy Makeup Looks for Glam Lids and Luscious Lashes.

My Zoya Nail Polish Mini Loot

Finally, my nail polish loot arrived already after a long, long time! Haha!

Just last December, I was intensely longing for vivid and beautiful green shades of nail polish. I’ve been endlessly intrigued by the stunning color of green to be worn on the nails. Michelle of All Lacquered Up Girl has worn them quite beautifully, and after my adventure with blues with China Glaze Aqua Baby, China Glaze For Audrey, and OPI Russian Navy ( such a beautiful color! ), I’m all for greens now!

I couldn’t find greens from OPI and China Glaze that were sold online that catered to my fancy, so I opted for Zoya, that had really beautiful greens that they launched for the 2007 Downtown and Utopia Collection. Take a look at my mini stash!
