Finally, my nail polish loot arrived already after a long, long time! Haha!

Just last December, I was intensely longing for vivid and beautiful green shades of nail polish. I’ve been endlessly intrigued by the stunning color of green to be worn on the nails. Michelle of All Lacquered Up Girl has worn them quite beautifully, and after my adventure with blues with China Glaze Aqua Baby, China Glaze For Audrey, and OPI Russian Navy ( such a beautiful color! ), I’m all for greens now!

I couldn’t find greens from OPI and China Glaze that were sold online that catered to my fancy, so I opted for Zoya, that had really beautiful greens that they launched for the 2007 Downtown and Utopia Collection. Take a look at my mini stash!

From left to right, the left most is Akyra. It’s a peacock-like shade of blue-green, and it screams oceans, seas, and mermaids. Stunning color. Next is the celebrated shade Suvi, that is, I might say, my favorite amongst the three. It’s dark, rainforest green that reminds me of my school uniform somewhat ( hahahaha! ), and would really look stunning on fair hands because of its dark shade. Last is Irene, a beautiful, cheerful light green shade that is somewhat like a green counterpart of the classic platinum shade of nailpolish which is every girl’s must have. All these shades are shimmery, by the way.

To be honest, I was quite nervous as I ordered these $6 a bottle babies at Zoya.com because when I tried the nail polish at The Natural Source in Bonifacio High Street, I felt that their polishes were quite watery and won’t hold on to the nails that much - maybe it’s because they’re devoid of the usual chemicals found in nail polish, the “big three.” Of course, we’re on the healthy trend now and the less chemicals our bodies get to interact with, so much the better. So I gave it a try and found out that Zoya isn’t bad at all - you get good color payoff on the second coat, and it only takes a good base coat and top coat to make it stay quite well.

Well, this is a sign that I should be growing my nails long right now. My nails are stark short right now because I’ve been wanting some low maintenance nail care right now since I’m running around for work and play. I can’t wait to show you my nails of the day! Whoopee!

Stay tuned!
