This Spring, Tarte Cosmetics goes healthy with its new product line, “Health Couture”, which features the “t5 super fruit complex”, a propriety blend of the five most active super fruits, namely cai, goji, maracuja, acerola and pomegranate. These five super fruits scream anti-aging, refining, and skin restoration. I remember my T3 juice that I’ve been drinking lately – that boasts of antioxidants that help me feel better. Well, I didn’t know until now , that cosmetics were going to be this healthy! Yayness!
For the nerds in us who want to know what each super fruit gives out, well, here’s some beauty info for all us!
· goji berry extract: contains anti-aging properties
· acai fruit extract: helps fight free radicals and has known anti-inflammatory and skin softening properties
· maracuja extract: soothes skin and acts as an anti-inflammatory
· acerola extract: helps restore skin’s clarity due to the high concentration of Vitamin C
· pomegranate extract: reduces inflammation and redness in skin
Aside from that , they’re all paraben free, and mineral oil free – two ingredients that we just want out of our cosmetics. Thank goodness.
For the products in the Health Couture line, included are the t5 infused version of their famous cheekstain, now called Full Blossom All Natural Swirl Cheek Stain, a dual purpose lip pigment and gloss called Double Dose Berry Boost and Gloss, an all-in-one set for glowing cheeks, lips, and lips called Infinite Glow Bestsellers Palette, and a very promising lash conditioner called Rejuvelash Declumping Lash Exhilirator.
I hope that in the next few collections, more makeup companies would be like Tarte and introduce their own “health couture” as to encourage more women to wear makeup. I swear, I’ve been hearing the “I don’t wanna wear makeup, because it’d ruin my skin” line long enough, and I can’t wait to disprove that. ( so far, I have already convinced some people that it isn’t true, but really, it’s quite a challenge! )
