It’s been two weeks since I’ve been using the Obagi Clenziderm system for acne prone skin. My target, and my dermatologist’s promise is to get rid of my acne, comedones, and oily skin as I finish this set up, and well, here’s an update on how I’m faring right now.
By now, I would really really know that my skin is not as sensitive to acne treatments as I’ve been scared to experience burnt, over-irritated skin, because Clenziderm made my skin very dry during week one, but during week two, I guess it’s purging time as my skin went back to its usual oiliness, and I have also noticed that comedones have surfaced more. It is just a phase? I sure hope it is. In fairness, my past blemishes are all flat right now, and they’re peeling. I’m glad that they are about to be gone from my life soon. ( Yay! ) but stubborn whiteheads and blackheads are still there, and I’m really wishing them to poof out of existence.
As of now, I’m still enjoying the very minty facial wash, and the equally minty purifying toner. The toner, during week one, did not get much dirt on the cottonball, but this week, it just made me feel like my face was made of mud - too much dirt! I’d love to think that this is a purging process that just gets rid of all the oil from my skin ( please ). The liquefied benzoyl peroxide treatment is one of a kind, as I feel it really working wonders in controlling my acne. My sister even borrowed it from me, and within a few days, her face was clear already. The treatment serum’s a miracle product. My skin , on the other hand, is a huge challenge.

Interesting. I haven’t read many reviews of Obagi, so I’m very interested in this. Will be coming back to see how well it works! I had similar purging with Differin — not kidding, I had the biggest pimple of my LIFE — but now my skin is mostly beautiful. Hope things go well for you… can’t wait for the next update!
