An Update on My Obagi Clenziderm Experience

It’s been two weeks since I’ve been using the Obagi Clenziderm system for acne prone skin. My target, and my dermatologist’s promise is to get rid of my acne, comedones, and oily skin as I finish this set up, and well, here’s an update on how I’m faring right now.

By now, I would really really know that my skin is not as sensitive to acne treatments as I’ve been scared to experience burnt, over-irritated skin, because Clenziderm made my skin very dry during week one, but during week two, I guess it’s purging time as my skin went back to its usual oiliness, and I have also noticed that comedones have surfaced more. It is just a phase? I sure hope it is. In fairness, my past blemishes are all flat right now, and they’re peeling. I’m glad that they are about to be gone from my life soon. ( Yay! ) but stubborn whiteheads and blackheads are still there, and I’m really wishing them to poof out of existence.

Crest Healthy Radiance Toothpaste System

This coming March, Crest is going to offer its first toothpaste whitening system, called Crest Healthy Radiance Toothpaste System!

The contents of the whitening system would include:
1. a daily flouride paste for strengthening and rebuilding enamel
2. 8 weekly deep cleaning strips to whiten and brighten teeth

I know, I know, I’ve been tempted to have my teeth bleached at my dentist’s office, but with Crest offering all these affordable ( heck, they might not look so affordable, but it costs around $300 with my dentist to have teeth bleached ) DIY treatments that I’d want to explore this myself!

Life Can’t Wait, With Sunsilk

If Sunsilk has launched Madonna, Shakira, and Marilyn Monroe to be the “Life Can’t Wait” campaign symbols of inspiration, locally, we have three of the brightest young stars today to support the campaign, namely, the dance princess Maja Salvador, tv sweetheart Heart Evangelista, and one ( if not the ) of the biggest telenovela stars today, Marian Rivera ( Mariann! read my Marimar moment here. )

Last night was a fun-filled night as Sunsilk unveiled the “revelation” and formally launched the three stars for the campaign, and Beautynomics was there to cover the event, together with my beauty blogging girlfriends! Continue reading

N.V. Perricone Synergy : Bliss in a Bottle

If only happiness could be bottled up, I’d have one for every bag to have with me everyday. Oh, I just love happy days!

Just recently, I have learned that there is such thing as a stress buster, mood enhancer, and a confidence booster, and that is N.V. Perricone’s Synergy.

Synergy employs a powerful neuropeptide pheromone technology that helps to calm and soothe the mind and body, while attracting people to you. This breakthrough treatment comes in a sweet, sugar cookie scent.

Benefits of dabbing Synergy on pulse points, and on your upper lip include ,

*Sharpened memory and mental clarity
*Elevated self-confidence
*Decreased stress and anxiety
*Enhanced well-being
*Increased feeling of relaxation

Of course, who wouldn’t be skeptical and even doubtful of the promised effects when they seemed to be out of this world? I haven’t even mentioned that an interpersonal effect of this potion would be to increase one’s attractiveness to the opposite sex. Woah. And N.V. Perricone, M.D., a world renowned dermatologist, made a bold, bold move to come up with such an innovation like this.

Who’s an OBAGI ( Clenziderm ) Girl Now?

Last December, my dermatologist was seeking to speed up my oily skin - open pore - horrible microcomedone problem, as she suggested if I wanted to try Clenziderm. Clenziderm’s OBAGI’s new skin care line targetted for acne-prone skin. I’ve heard great, and not-so-great about Nu Derm OBAGI products ( the blue line ), with some getting amazing results with it, and some having disappointing results. It was a risk, to try this product, but was well worth the try because I seriously need my skin to get better anyhow.

I was able to find a great deal in Amazon, for a set that costs only about $84. A set includes a cleanser, a toner ( Pore Therapy ) and a Serum Gel to treat acne. Not too expensive considering Nu Derm OBAGI costs for about $200?

Some technical beauty info about Clenziderm,

Obagi CLENZIderm M.D.â„¢ includes a new, liquified form of benzoyl peroxide that is 1/10,000 the size of any other benzoyl peroxide available.

< -This fact, I love. Hahahaha

L’Oreal Elseve Smooth Intense Serum

If I were asked to handpick one single product from the entire L’Oreal Elseve line, I’d pick the L’Oreal Elseve Smooth Intense Serum in a heartbeat.

I truly believe that it is the best, and really, the best hair serum I’ve ever tried.

If Kerastase Oleo Relax Masque is my Holy Grail intensive conditioner, then the L’Oreal Elseve Smooth Intense Serum is my Holy Grail hair serum that is just perfect for my frizzy hair.

I remember one time when my hair was newly cut, and it was flying away in all directions ( horrible, horrible time of adjustment, let me tell you ), I had to use the hair iron to make sure my hair was in good shape before I left the house. One really busy evening, whilst I was late for a dinner date and my hair wasn’t dry yet, I applied some L’Oreal Smooth Intense Serum on my damp hair, concentrating on the tips, steering away from the roots ( as they make make my hair limp ), as I rushed off.

Lo and behold, as I arrived just in time for dinner, my friends were complimenting me on my new ‘do, saying that it wasn’t as stick straight as before, and they loved how my hair was still bouncy but not frizzy. ( For the record, my hair’s layered right now, teehee ). I was pleasantly surprised because I didn’t expect the serum to work that way - it made the tips of my hair manageable, and made my hair look neat and well-maintained.
