The eye area’s just one of the most delicate parts of the face. The skin’s way thinner there, and it’s the first to wrinkle as we age *sob, sob*.
The eyes are also the most beautiful part of us because as the cliche goes, the eyes are the windows to one’s soul. They tell a story of who you are, and what kind of a person you are. ( I believe this to be true, actually. ).
The eyes are also powerful tools of seduction, eh? I just wish I knew how to use them with that certain intention in mind *snicker *
Well, lately, I’ve been feeling that I need to take that trivia seriously because photos never lie. I just saw several photos of me smiling foolishly ( my favorite pose haha ) with LINES around my eyes.
WTH! That couldn’t be I’m only twenty-bleep! Then I remember, there must be something that I’ve been doing wrong.
Now it dawned upon me - I’ve been rubbing my eyes whenever they itch.
Oh no. No , no , no , no! So what happened upon my realization was, I started practicing discipline in that area, and just patted my eye area whenever I’d feel the urge to rub them. Oh, it’s just like mosquito bites - you can’t scratch them or they’d leave nasty marks. But the temptation is just too strong!
My resolution this year is to take care of my eye area and maintain its youthfulness for as long as I can, by
1. Applying generous amounts of eyecream in the morning and during bedtime
2. Applying gentle pressure when applying eye makeup.
3. Not rubbing my eyes
4. Use the most gentle eye makeup remover ( and yes, I have found it! I will be writing about it tomorrow ) that swipes away makeup the easiest way possible
5. Sleep early - err, okay. TRY.
and yes, it shall be in my ten beauty commandments ( that I shall come up with soon ) that the eyes shall be revered and taken cared of at all costs.
How about you? What steps have you been doing to preserve your precious peepers?
