With the merciless way that I have treated my hair for the past few weeks, I think it deserved a break. Yesterday as I was strolling at the mall, I almost jumped in glee when I saw pots of L’Oreal Elseve Smooth Intense Hair Masque. God, I’ve been dying to try it, but my best friend just keeps on forgetting to give me the pot that she bought for me! Haha! I couldn’t wait any longer, so I grabbed the pot, and hit checkout ( woops, in the real world, went to the counter, and paid for it ).

Lately, I have understood what it meant by “tangled” hair. My hair seems fine, but everytime I would run through my hair, it would get stuck, or something. Blame it on the shampoo that I’ve been using - I think it was too harsh, but heck, I had to use it. Now, I have to say byebye to it and say hello to my new Elseve shampoo ( that would be reviewed in another entry ) and Hair Masque. My Kerastase Oleo Relax Hair Masque pot is already empty, and I got intrigued by the statements of others that Elseve is as good as Kerastase. Being an absolute Kerastase fanatic ( to the point that I requested that brand for my OJT ), I decided to use this hair masque , and roadtest away!

After my hair bath courtesy of Elseve shampoo for Anti-Breakage, I applied the Smooth Intense Hair Masque. I rinsed away after leaving it on my hair for a minute, and used my fingers to detangle whatever there is to detangle as I shower it off.

Well, I just combed my hair using a wide tooth comb, and just let it dry. As the day progressed, I was checking my hair, and it felt really soft. And I mean super duper soft!

And to add, when I checked myself in the mirror, my hair got all its shine back. Talk about magic in one use! I couldn’t believe it myself. Shine in one use? It’s true, it’s true! and, no tangles for the day. Absolutely none. Even my sis commented that my hair looked extra nice today. No frizzies, manageable hair, everything perfect.

The damage inflicted was minimal - a pot of Elseve Smooth Intense Hair Masque costs only around 350 php ( around $8? ). Super affordable, and the pot is filled to the brim.

I am officially stocking up on this hair masque! As for the question if it can be compared to Kerastase Oleo Relax Hair Masque - Kerastase Oleo Hair Masque actually gives an INSTANT detangling effect, and super sleek ( it’s miraculous ), and Elseve is well, about 70% of Kerastase’s in terms of performance. Considering it’s only 1/4 of its price, I can actually
live with this to use for everyday! The shine is a bonus that will make me use this over and over again!

I am officially hooked with L’Oreal Elseve! Next , I want to try the Smooth Intense Serum! Stay tuned!

HELLO! THIS IS WHAT I JUST NEEDED TO READ! I was staring at this product for a good 15 minutes awhile ago at watsons. however, as a student P350 isn’t really “CHEAP” for me although I was totally ready to buy it but I was hesitant.

I have CURLY/WAVY hair that isn’t really exposed to heating products such as blow drying & flat ironing its just that my hair is really naturally frizzy. I checked out the other products that said “anti-frizz” and ended up picking up a bottle of CREAM SILK- FLEXI HOLD LEAVE ON for fluffy/exposed hair (THE BLUE ONE). the girl said its just the same but for a cheaper price. “brand lang daw ang pinagkaiba”. so i was wondering if the girl was right? i haven’t tried it yet. and maybe then i should get the ELSEVE. thanks. i would love to hear from you if you have reviews on CREAM SILK leave on products. please feel free to email me at christine.santos19@yahoo.com

    THANKS!!! xoxo

    Hi Christine!

I would have to disagree with the girl :) Cream Silk products work for some, and don’t work for some. It’s a matter of being “hiyang” ( works for you ) to a product, or not. As for me, I’ve found affinity with Elseve products because I believe they deliver really good results. Up a notch maybe than Cream Silk, but Cream Silk’s great enough for everyday use. elseve masque’s can be used like once or twice a week, like a “hotoil treatment ” I assure you that it’s worth every penny! :)

For the leave-on serum of Elseve Anti-frizz, this is in oil form whereas Cream Silk is in creme form, so I don’t think it’s just “the brand” but the product themselves :) I swear by it, and believe in the Anti-frizz serum of Elseve, and confidently say that it works so close to Kerastase’s , which is a great, but a bit expensive brand.

this is a random picture of a curly person.
her hair is VERY similar to mine. but mine isn’t colored. (i have natural medium brown hair) http://www.flickr.com/photos/28849115@N02/2692591731/

i tried the cream silk for 2 days now. and what i noticed is that MY CURLS TEND TO DISAPPEAR upon application… (or maybe i’m applying tom much). i also have no idea how to apply it when its dry :) hihi!

now my concern is that if I’ll use the ELSEVE ANTI-FRIZZ MASK it might remove my curls! I ABSOLUTELY BELIEVE YOU when you said its “worth every penny” but I’m scared that my curls might completely disappear! :(
i LOVE my curls… but not the messy, poffy-ness on some areas (specifically the upper portion of her hair, that is what i hate about my hair). I know it says ANTI-FRIZZ. but it might make my hair straighter (which isn’t the way i want it to be…) i just want it TAMED. because i am forced to tie my hair into a bun EVERYDAY to hide my WILD hair.

HELP ME PLEASE! i know i sound such a whiny brat. but girls are girls! and honestly i have never ever experienced having to feel good about “our” “crowning glory”. IT’s TRUE! :( :( :(

Hi :) The serum will not make your curls go away, but rather, make it less poofy :) won’t make it straight unless you have it rebonded :)
