I’ve recently fallen in love with nail polishes thanks to the new classy trends of dark colors, and the timeless classic neutrals and french colors. Lately, I have been liking the color blue - the first time I’ve had in years that I’ve noticed myself shopping for blue blouses, flip flops, and recently, nail polish colors.

My recent haul is a mix of blues ( well, majority of them ), a red, and a plum color, and an orangey pink.

Looking at the picture, from left to right : Chinaglaze Aqua Baby, Chinaglaze Up All Night, OPI Russian Navy, OPI An Affair in Moscow, OPI Kreme De La Kremlin, OPI Catherine The Grape.

Here are my thoughts regarding the colors that I have picked,

China Glaze Aqua Baby - This was recommended by nail polish expert Michelle from All Lacquered up while I wrote her a fan mail! Teehee. She told me that this was a superb pedi color, and well, it was love at first sight on my nails as I think I would be wearing this more often on my hands. The aqua blue color just complemented well with my Asian skin tone, just as For Audrey.

China Glaze Up All Night - a gorgeous, shimmery midnight blue ( with somewhat purplish tendency? ) . I like this - this is the perfect posh color. Very modelicious!

OPI Russian Navy
- this is a very unique gray hued dark blue. The difference between Up All Night and Glaze Up All Night is that Up All Night is more dark blue-purply and Russian Navy is more grayish navy blue. If you ask me, I like both shades but Russian Navy is more unique, though Up All Night is gorgeous.

OPI An Affair in Moscow - this is a shimmery red. A shimmery apple red, I think. It’s the perfect Christmas red. Not vulgar, but bright enough to make a classy statement.

OPI Kreme De La Kremlin - I read from a website that they described this as a terra cotta pink, and I agree. It is mixed orange and pink and is the perfect everyday shade. Very feminine, very safe, very alluring.

OPI Catherine The Grape
- This is a shimmery medium plum that would be quite an adventure for me. To me it is a medium plum that can look great on very fair skinned people, well I just hope I could pull it off ( I’m light-skinned, though )

If you would notice, all the OPI nailpolishes are part of the Russian Collection. Well, I think this collection is a winner. I envision a cold, cold day, with shades that would definitely warm the hands. The blues that I got from China Glaze make me always have summer on my hands ( Aqua Baby ) and runway on my mind ( Up All Night )
