As the weather gets colder, skin tends to get dry and crave for moisture. I know I ought to pinch myself for neglecting this body regimen, but it’s now time for me to oblige myself to apply rich, buttery body moisturizers if I don’t want my skin to crack! One of the most effective body moisturizers out there just happens to be the Body Shop Body Butter.
I’ve written not too long ago about my experience with the Body Shop Body Butter, that helped me survive the coldest day in Shanghai, and I could not be more thankful that I brought it with me! To date, I have tried two variants, namely in Blueberry ( a sweet fruity smell ), and Almond. Now, the Body Shop has launched a new variant to include in its impressive array of Body Butters, and now it comes in Chestnut.
The key ingredients for it,
# Chestnut extract
*Community Trade Cocoa Butter from Ghana: An excellent moisturizer that melts at body temperature, leaving the skin feeling soft and silky smooth.
* Community Trade Soya Oil from Brazil: Very rich in essential fatty acids that help to repair the skin’s moisture barrier, helping to restore smoothness and suppleness.
*Community Trade Sesame Seed Oil from Nicaragua: Moisturizes and helps to soften the skin.
*Moisturizing Organic Babassu Oil from Brazil
* Moisturizing Glycerin: Is an effective moisturizer which helps improve softness and maximize hydration.
I bet this is an ultra hydrating treat for those who have dry skin out there. It is most recommended to apply body butter, as you step out of the shower, and apply on semi-damp skin as it absorbs better. I find it when I apply it on already dry skin, it tends to be icky-feeling because dry skin does not absorb much.
Now, I’m intrigued on what the Body Butter in Chestnut smells like. Perhaps, just like Christmas, which I hope twould be!
The Body Shop Body Butter in Chestnut is available exclusively at The Body Shop at Home for $20.
Tata for now!
