The Beautynomist Loves Elseve Smooth Intense Hair Masque!

With the merciless way that I have treated my hair for the past few weeks, I think it deserved a break. Yesterday as I was strolling at the mall, I almost jumped in glee when I saw pots of L’Oreal Elseve Smooth Intense Hair Masque. God, I’ve been dying to try it, but my best friend just keeps on forgetting to give me the pot that she bought for me! Haha! I couldn’t wait any longer, so I grabbed the pot, and hit checkout ( woops, in the real world, went to the counter, and paid for it ).

Lately, I have understood what it meant by “tangled” hair. My hair seems fine, but everytime I would run through my hair, it would get stuck, or something. Blame it on the shampoo that I’ve been using - I think it was too harsh, but heck, I had to use it. Now, I have to say byebye to it and say hello to my new Elseve shampoo ( that would be reviewed in another entry ) and Hair Masque. My Kerastase Oleo Relax Hair Masque pot is already empty, and I got intrigued by the statements of others that Elseve is as good as Kerastase. Being an absolute Kerastase fanatic ( to the point that I requested that brand for my OJT ), I decided to use this hair masque , and roadtest away!

The Body Shop’s Almond Oil Nail & Cuticle Treatment

The ber months are just the busiest days of the year and I must say that it is when my skin, hair, and nails are most deprived that just this week, I was absolutely dying for a good nail pampering session at the salon - but I realized with my schedule, that I can’t. I have a complete manicure pedicure set here at home but I’m just too tired to touch them, and well, my nails have started feeling painful on the edges because of dry skin, and cuticles getting dry.

This product is one of the lifesavers , along with the Creative Solar Oil.

Check out The Body Shop’s Almond Oil Nail & Cuticle Treatment. Continue reading

Exquisite Photography : Makeup Brushes

I just love it when my friend Phoebe makes everything look great in photo! These Charm makeup brushes sure do look great when seen in person ( or thing, haha ), but the dim lights and shadowy effect give them some drama!

I’m so excited for the mineral makeup weekend!

The I Love New York Double-Decker Sampler Box is such a dazzling gift idea, with twelve 50ml flacons of Bond Eau de Parfums! only if you can manage $1600 to spend for this. Insane, but I say, luxury is the name of the game!

Stocking Stuffer Idea :Philosophy Kiss Kiss Holiday Trio

It’s the time of the year again when we all start to be thoughtful and scramble our brains into thinking what to give our favorite friends this Christmas season, and well, in my personal opinion, nothing beats giving lip stuff, or lip balms this Holidays, considering the significant decrease in temperature that makes our lips more prone to chapping, and the complexion turns paler, and that means more complexion boosters like colorful lip products!

Check out the Philosophy ‘Kiss Kiss Kiss’ Holiday Lip Trio

Just take a look at the flavors - Raspberry Sorbet, Sugar Cookie, and Melting Chocolate. The names are enough to tempt you to go binge eating this Christmas as most of us do! Haha! When you get to smell these lippies and swipe them on your lips, I don’t think you’ll ever want these wiped off your lips, ever. You will also have the high gloss goodness that would make your lips stand out as you enjoy their flavors.

To my beauty readers in Manila, Philippines, I am most proud to say that I am very excited to be part of this big advocacy, and grand event - Mineral Makeup Day in Manila! By opening Beauty & Minerals , as a fruit of my extensive research in The Mineral Makeup Blog , it has helped me reach out to people to learn more about mineral makeup as well as boost their self esteems by using it. I strongly feel that mineral makeup is a self esteem booster, and I commend my co-resellers and brand owners of mineral makeup in the country for doing the same!

With this, we come together! Presenting, Mineral Makeup Day in Manila!

Nailscapade : My OPI and China Glaze Haul

I’ve recently fallen in love with nail polishes thanks to the new classy trends of dark colors, and the timeless classic neutrals and french colors. Lately, I have been liking the color blue - the first time I’ve had in years that I’ve noticed myself shopping for blue blouses, flip flops, and recently, nail polish colors.

My recent haul is a mix of blues ( well, majority of them ), a red, and a plum color, and an orangey pink.

Looking at the picture, from left to right : Chinaglaze Aqua Baby, Chinaglaze Up All Night, OPI Russian Navy, OPI An Affair in Moscow, OPI Kreme De La Kremlin, OPI Catherine The Grape.

Body Shop Introduces New Body Butter Variant : Chestnut!

As the weather gets colder, skin tends to get dry and crave for moisture. I know I ought to pinch myself for neglecting this body regimen, but it’s now time for me to oblige myself to apply rich, buttery body moisturizers if I don’t want my skin to crack! One of the most effective body moisturizers out there just happens to be the Body Shop Body Butter.

I’ve written not too long ago about my experience with the Body Shop Body Butter, that helped me survive the coldest day in Shanghai, and I could not be more thankful that I brought it with me! To date, I have tried two variants, namely in Blueberry ( a sweet fruity smell ), and Almond. Now, the Body Shop has launched a new variant to include in its impressive array of Body Butters, and now it comes in Chestnut.
