Think of it as the ultimate wakeup-makeup for lips: the water-resistant lip stain imparts a natural rosy glow, while the cocktail of tripeptides in the lip-enhancing gloss stimulates collagen on the cellular level. Vitamin E, Aloe & Coconut Oil lock moisture in. The result? A pout that’s pretty, polished, and plumped-up. Good morning, sunshine!

I admit that I didn’t really like lip or cheekstains before as I fear that when used on the lips, they’d just “stain” my lips, even if it looked dry, and I fear it would make my chapped lips looked all feathered and ugly.

But then – did I just read Water-Proof? Ya know, I’ve been frustrated for the longest time for nice lipglosses that would stay even if you gobble a whole buffet table because I am not only a beauty junkie, I am also a food junkie. I always see my pictures right after dinner with my lips already bare and that, and I didn’t like it. I also didn’t like lipsticks that promised to stay on forever because they tend to dry the lips so much! Can’t we have them all?

Well, I have tried Tarte Water-Proof Lip Stain and Lip-Enhancing Gloss Duo, and let me tell you that my problem is already over, and I mean o-vah!

When I first opened the lip-stain side of the duo, I carefully dabbed spots of liquid red stains on my lips, as I carefully blended them. My lips looked naturally healthy and red, and I was like, okay, this looked pretty great, this didn’t look artificial at all. It didn’t make my lips look bad, instead, it looked all healthy, full, and soft.

I proceeded with the lip-enhancing side , and was stunned with the results. My “naturally” red red lips oozed with luscious goodness as shine was applied! The lip stain and lip enhancing duo were just perfect soulmates as they melded into perfection on my lips! I loved it! Now , I looked like I had applied a very very pretty, out-of-this-world, where’d-ya-get-that gorgeous natural looking gloss!

After a few seconds, I felt a cooling sensation that would mean the lip plumping properties are taking into effect, and yes, I felt I had full lips that night! Angelina Jolie, I feel ya! Yay!

Now, for the most important part – for the staying power? After eating dinner, I immediately checked myself in the mirror, and saw the stain there. The gloss was gone, probably with my tendency to drink water alot, but the stain was very much intact as my lips still looked red and pretty. No problem with retouching with the gloss, I can live with that. Bravo for the lipstain that it is really water resistant, or maybe, waterproof ( this I have got to try at the beach! )

I have a feeling that I’d be bringing this “magic weapon” with me for my Holiday foodfests!
