Clean, pure, soap-free PURPOSE® Gentle Cleansing Wash removes dirt, oil, and make-up without stripping or drying your skin like soap can. And it won’t sting your eyes, so it’s ideal for removing eye make-up products. PURPOSE® Gentle Cleansing Wash leaves your skin feeling clean and refreshed.

Clinically shown as gentle to your skin as water1, the mild formula effectively cleanses without overly drying or irritating skin.

I was given a chance to try Johnson & Johnson Purpose Gentle Cleansing Wash, and at first smell, I just thought that it had a very pleasant, subtle, and gentle fragrance to it that I so loved that I had trouble letting go of it. This time , my mom and my baby sister were first to try it, and I gave them the chance to review this product!

To give you a background, my baby sister Sugar is very much protected by my mom to use commercial beauty products out there and wants absolutely the most gentle formula for Sugar. My mom on the other hand - she is quite critical with her skin care and I’ve given her as gifts several skin care sets already ( from mid-priced to luxury brands ), and she just gives up on the first week, or so, explaining that she didn’t feel that her skin was thoroughly cleansed, or she got some irritation with the product, or she just simply got tired of it. I actually got my beauty junkie gene from her, but I think I’m the more patient one in trying out stuff! Haha!

When my mom first tried it ( well, when I first realized that she got the bottle from my table haha ! ), she was already exclaiming on how soft her skin was, “Feel it Sophie, my skin’s so soft! “ she says. My younger sister and I were so amused that I decided to let her keep the bottle and try it for a few more days. A few more days after, I asked on how she liked the cleansing wash. “It doesn’t sud up, but I feel that my skin is squeaky clean.” That was quite a shock from her considering I have made her try a more expensive brand and she just told me that it didn’t clean her skin at all. So that’s an impressive turn.

I continued “squeezing” for some info out of her for my review and she also told me that the cleanser indeed felt like water to the skin, makes the skin feel so soft afterwards. I got the surprise of my life when she told me that she wasn’t going to get tired of this cleanser! Wow, I got that from my mom? This must really be a great product! She even recommended for Sugar to use it and they’ve been sharing the bottle for days already!

To sum up, I think Johnson & Johnson Purpose Gentle Cleansing Wash would work great for those who have baby skin, and those who have sensitive skin. It would work great on those dry and tired skin, and normal skin, too, but for oily skinned people like me who have problems with breakouts, I think we ought to shift to a stronger dose of facial wash. But this facial cleanser is absolutely gentle, and forgiving that it will help you keep your skin feeling like a baby forever!

I completely agree. I used to use Purpose’s facial wash and bar soap in my early twenties. The bar soap worked fine (until I found out that bar soaps, regardless of whether or not they’re “facial”), but the facial wash left my oily face a wee bit too moisturized. It was, however, recommended by my dermatologist, so it can’t all be bad. However, oily, blemish-prone skins should stick to facial foaming washes or gels.

Hi. I’d like to ask where I could buy myself a bottle of Johnson and Johnson Purpose Gentle Cleansing Wash?

    I checked Watson’s at MOA but it wasn’t available.:/

    Thanks in advance.:)

I’ve been using the Purpose bar for about 2 years now and it stopped the acne dead in its tracks. I swear by the stuff and refer all my friends to it. I have oily skin and it gets rid of the oil, smells good (light), and lathers nicely. This is the only beauty bar that I will use or that has ever worked for me.
    Try it! You’ll like it.
