MAC Painterly Collection

MAC Cosmetics is out again with a new collection, and it’s called the Painterly Collection. They have introduced “Paint Pots” which promise beautiful cream eye shadows which don’t crease, cake, or even budge. Now, if you ask me, that is every girl’s dream come true. To explain further, here’s an excerpt that explains the new “Paint Pot,”

“The innovative new formula of Carnuba Butter and Thixcin wax feels like
a cream shadow and lasts for hours with no creasing, caking, or transfer.
Not commonly found in cream eye shadows, the formula is easy to apply,
blend and mix with M•A•C eye shadows and liners. Its second skin-like
adhesion and medical patch polymer keeps moisture in for more comfort
and allows you to build seamless coverage without the heaviness. Superior
color vibrancy and intensity, the longwear waterproof technology can be easily
removed with M•A•C wipes. Dermatologist tested and Ophthalmologist tested. ”

Dandruff in the Headlines!

Note : I really really liked this entry so I cross posted it from my local beauty blog! Let me just share this to my international readers.

If you read today’s issue of Manila Bulletin ( Friday, August 10, 2007 ), you won’t be seeing the usual everyday news about the nation - lookie, lookie, I’ve even scanned the newspaper!

The headline says, ” RP Battles with Dandruff : 44% of Filipinos Have It” It’s definitely a fresh change from the usual headlines that I have been reading everyday. No political jargons “solon”, ” moratorium”, etc. If I would have those headlines to greet me everyday, then I would be more motivated to read my daily newspaper !

Relaxing Skincare by Zensation

Whenever I hear the word Zen, I associate it with the terms, “calm”, “contentment”, “balance”, and “bliss.” Zensation, a new luxury skin care brand, definitely offers luxury, and zen to the skin, and senses,

ZENSATION luxury skincare is essentially based on high quality Swiss Alpine plant extracts, fruit extracts, bio technology complex and neuro stimulating molecules. No harmful preservatives and chemcial substances used, and natural aroma is being added to offer blissful “ZENSATION.”

Zensation’s product line consists of the basics such as a Hydrating Moisture Day Cream, and Night Nourishing Cream, to products that address specific skin care concerns, such as whitening - with their Brightening Mask and Skin Brightener Serum. For oily skinned gals like me, there is the Soothing and Healing Mask which can help combat oiliness, and nourish the skin via its antibacterial properties. Aside from that, they are anti-stress in a way that their aromatherapic scents will help you forget your problems for the day, and bring you to your balance.

Something Innovative: Amazing Soap

I’ve stumbled upon a new company called Amazing Soap. The soaps that they are offering to the market are those type of “what if” ideas that somehow bubbled up in your head a few years ago, like ” What if there was a soap that would give me a beautiful tan in an instant? , or ” What if there was a soap that would give me SPF?”

Bam. Amazing Soap has those in their online store!

TESS : Skin Care For Teens

It’s easy taking care of babies - their skin care regimens are fairly easy. Gentle baby baths, gentle baby shampoos, and that about changes everything as babies bloom into teenagers, as the mom is faced with a dilemma on which products she would give her baby, for her first skin care regimen.

I’d know that because with 4 sisters, I have one sister ( who blogs alot ), who just hit her teens, and could not make do of her bubble bath as her face wash anymore (teehee) . I’m torn on being a beauty afficionado and being a sister, for if I were just to enumerate all the products I would give her, that would be dangerous since her skin is so much a virgin, and she needs absolutely the gentlest products for her rite of passage. Since teenage skin problems haven’t occurred to her yet, the gentlest, and the mildest skin care would be just best for her. In other words, she would be needing, “the basics” , and she would be venturing into advanced territory, later on. Continue reading

Benefit’s Realness of Concealness

I’ll let you in a little secret - I can’t live, I mean I really can’t live without concealers. They’re my secret weapons! ( Oops, I just divulged! ). One of my problems is my undereyes - I’m an insomniac, I hardly get any sleep ( though I really, really try! ), and I could, and would not get out of the house without concealing that problem area!

For the girl like me who wants her eyes to look as fresh, bright, and mimick ( or fake ) a good night’s sleep, Benefit’s Realness of Concealness is simply heaven-sent. It has bundled together travel sizes of Benefit’s famous, and extremely fool-proof concealers for the eye -

MAC Rushmetal Collection

MAC sure has dazzled us this year with their amazing line up of collections, that I’m sure, everyone is raving about. ( Heck, Barbie, C-Shock and Flashtronic were amazing! ) After all, MAC is one of the best makeup brands in the industry, widely used by makeup artists and preferred by makeup snobs ( right, Roanne ? )

RushMetal is MAC’s latest collection , and as you see the promotional picture, it is simply oozing with metallic glam. The inspiration for this collection is gold, as they transform it into such metallic, edgy, gold-tinged shades that as you wear these shades, will surely give you the “rush” in Rushmetal.

Here are the pieces of the RushMetal Collection :

On My LOL : Smashbox Master Class Expert Eyes Set

This is what’s been keeping me late at night. I have been staring at this set for a few days, and I’m quite happy that this set is already on its way to my open arms!

Presenting, the Smashbox Master Class Expert Eyes Set. It’s officially on the Beautynomist’s List of Lemmings ( LOL ).

I truly believe that the eyes are one’s greatest features, and should be maximized and prettified to achieve the look, or aura that you want to exude. A simple brightening effect on the eye eradicates the look of tiredness, and eyelining can make the eyes look bigger! One of the most difficult looks for me to pull of is a smokey eye. I’ve been toying with my eye makeup for almost a year, and I think I haven’t perfected it yet. The classic smokey eye is one of the basic eye makeup looks that if you perfect, will arm you with with a precious skill, for the look is timeless. It can be worn during the day when you’re meeting clients, or at night, when you’re having an elegant dinner.
