If one is to buy something to prettify her eyes, I think that it is a must to get an eyeshadow quad. I mean, I don’t think I can ever live with just one eye color. Quads are very useful for they are usually composed of complimentary colors, and whichever quad you use, you can just use one color in a day, or use everything when you’re preparing for a special event.
In the last few weeks, I have been roadtesting BeautyAddicts’ Solutions Eye Quads. BeautyAddicts is an up and coming makeup brand that is making waves as early as now, with its numerous magazine mentions! Beauty Addicts’ slogan is “Beauty Made Simple,” and with quads, I really do agree that it simplifies things! I don’t have to reach for individual eyeshadows, for I have them all in one compact already! This is optimization of bag space, vanity drawer space, and maximization in utility in terms of getting the right, complimentary colors in a jiffy!
The quads that I was able to try were Glow and Express.
Glow(upper left in the pic ) is composed of some off-white, baby pink, deep purple, and black. I absolutely love this combo because it reminds me of modern Japanese makeup – the smokey purple eye makeup.
Express (upper right in the pic ) is composed of bronzey shades , cream, and brown, and this is one very versatile eye-quad as it can be worn for work, and it can also be worn for dates at night with its sexy bronze colors. The mattes can be worn during the day, while the shimmery shades can be pulled off at night.
I’m quite impressed with the silkiness of the texture of the eyeshadows, and the fact that it is moderately pigmented. ( meaning, not too pigmented, but not a wash-off, too ). Bottomline, I’m quite happy with these quads because I can just grab any quad depending on my mood, and just use them without really thinking on how to mix and match colors, as they are already laid out for me!
