It’s a bit late, but I have found this in my camera a week ago. The story goes , was that last June, as I celebrated my twenty-something birthday, I received this great beauty loot from my girlfriends. I loved it so much, that I used them as subjects as practice using my new DSLR camera I got. The picture turned out dark, even if it was a sunny day, but oh well, I hope to improve next time! Haha!
Here’s the contents of my beauty loot :
all’ Olio di Oliva Olive Oil Meditteraneo Mousse da Bago ( Bath Foam )
Let me just share what it said on the label,
” This bath foam with Olive Oil ( Olea Europea ) is the result of a happy combination of delicate cleansing agents and Alpha Hydroxy Acids, which rehydrate the skin and renew dead cells. The olive oil, rich in Vitamin E and essential fatty acids has a moisturizing , protective and sebum-restorative action, nourishing the skin, and leaving it radiant, soft and velvety to the touch, and intensely perfumed. Ideal for delicate and sensitive skin.”
With the green-colored cleansing base, it looks like aloe vera, but really, it smells like a more refined version of my favorite Johnson & Johnson’s Baby Bath! I can’t wait to try this. You know I hate applying lotion ( yes, I really can’t control it! ), hopefully this makes my skin less dry. I am still on the lookout for that wonder substitute of lotion in bath gel form.
Shu Uemura Eyelash Curler
The cult-favorite Shu Uemura Eyelash Curler happens to be also my personal favorite. It is an efficient performer, in my opinion. It creates the perfect curl, it doesn’t tear my lashes out thanks to its silicone pad, and the curl really stays long even if no mascara is used. My friend who gave me this probably thinks I could not live without it, and knows that I pretty much am a klutz, and lose stuff, so she maybe gave me one as a spare? ( Just guessing, but hey, whatever the reason is, I still love her for giving me one! )
La Cross Cuticle Pusher
I have been on the lookout for my own nail care supplies for I have watched an episode of the Tyra Show wherein someone died from getting an unfortunate, unsanitary pedicure. The show even showed the bacterial infection that almost ate all the skin in her legs. It was really shocking. Friend R gave me this La Cross Cuticle Pusher because she knew that was the only item lacking in my mani-pedi kit. This stainless steel beauty is one great tool! I shall be discussing more of it in my nail care exploration entries!
Acca Cappa Brush
It looks like a pretty brush with extra good quality plastic, that I’d instantly love at first sight. I’m pretty much into plastic brushes or combs since non-plastic ones induce static and make my hair frizzier, that it already is. I learned that Acca Cappa is the brush brand recommended by Oprah, and has anti-bacterial properties. I didn’t know there were brushes that existed which had anti-bacterial properties! I am currently using this one, and I love it. I still could not feel the anti-bacterial properties, but maybe I will in a month!
There ya go! The beauty loot I scored for my birthday! What more could I ask for? ( Alot, just in time for Christmas? But that’s another story! )
Maybe I’m just weird, but birthdays are so gloomy for me, because every year , I feel that the clock is ticking, pressuring me to become successful, or to do something extraordinary ( feeling Peter Petrelli from Heroes ). Thanks to my beautiful companions - my beauty products, it has somehow lessened my fear of growing up, and old, for well, there are tons of GREAT anti-aging regimens in the market! Then, I can look, and feel forever young! Hahahaha!
